So far the best team I've seen today is France, but it was a training run, they looked big, slick and powerful, Japan looked like they had fielded their U15 side in comparison.
Could have been a much stronger team too. Gailleton was the top try scorer in T14 this year for a pretty average Pau side and Bielle-Biarrey had many outings for UBB. Both in the wider training squad for RWC proper.

The SH teams always struggle through the first three rounds. They didn't played a 6 nation tournament like the NH teams.

So don't read to much into NZ score now.

The best 2 are with the senior French team and the Tuilagi "pup" had visa issues and should be adding a bit more weight to our second row.

There is the possibility that the 2 in senior squad may be flown in.

It’s so weird that that happened when the previous set up was seeing you guys make such big steps forward at age group level. Totally baffling. Did he get the support to do it because the domestic clubs wanted more control or something?
oh the FIR uses a presidential system whereby the president of the day just makes shit up on the fly depending on what side of the bed he woke up on

It was ridiculous. Over 2 minutes long too.

I really hope the senior team don't adopt this pantomime version for the world cup.

FFS, I missed the start of the NZ/Wales game and I've just watched that Haka now to see what people were talking about.

Some of the younger, fresher-faced Welsh lads were needing their first shave by the end of it.

From the 6N games I saw liked the look of Castro-Ferreira, who is on the bench here, Jauneau and the two that are in the main squad, the full back Bielle-Biarrey showed some great pace.

Do you think this current team is as good as the 2018/19 cohort?

No. That team was mental good. Possibly the best ever although the Michalak one in Chile and the Szarzewski one in England (Henley) were pretty stacked with players who went on to make it big too.

Laporte, Tauzin, Barassi, Ntamack, Marty, Carbonel, Coville; Gros, Marchand, Bamba, Lavault, Geraci, Berruyer, Woki, Joseph.

Lamothe, Boniface, Brennan, Azagoh, Francoz, Gimbert, Seguret, Vincent.

This team is missing T14's top scorer in Gailleton.

The handling from both sides is good in these conditions.

I continue to be impressed by Jauneau

Why do NZ look like an under 14s team playing adults? What has happened to their genetics in the last 5 years?

Getting real dim on the discipline front here. NZ have offered nothing all game so WTF if they scored a try. Better than a raft of yellows.

They heard you and suddenly we see a burst of direct and hard running by the piggies.

Only for Tuilagi to repay them with a massive run
