Finally!

Root makes a regulation slip catch look 'spectacular'

Thankfully Barstow saw it really late and left it

Labu-“Well bowled Shane!” gets just 9 from 82 balls.
Not. Bazball.

Yes, the biggest reason he caught that was because Bairstow never budged and didn't put him off. Even though it's a keeper's catch. Funny old game.

Pretty awesome bowling display from England here.

All four of them bang on target - and the pitch as playing early tricks.

Just seen the Root catch. Dreadful from Bairstow. What was Lauschagne moaning about?

Very sharp catch by Root, But surely that should be a keeper's catch? Still, it's a result and better than the ball going between them and neither moving!

Khawaja stuck on his heels all day and refusing to rotate the strike. Makes bowling to the right/left handers easy for 6 balls.

Are they batting for a draw?

very different approaches by the Aussies

Labuschagne blocks for 2 sessions for a Boycottesque 9, Marsh launches Broad for 6.

5 down and well behind the score. Aussies struggling.

He hit that, you can clearly see it deviate before hitting the pad and way outside the line too

Yep. Common sense should've prevailed there, a clear and obvious deflection off the bat.

48 overs today for 124 runs and 6 wickets. Chris Tavare would be shouting at this lot.

:lolno: they're within 100 runs of us and still have 3 wickets to go. It's day 2. Both sides need to bat again. Our spinner is likely out of the game. What exactly do we owe this confidence to?

St Baz. Or maybe Lord Stokesy. But definitely not YJB.

This almost - almost, but not quite - puts them into negative points.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/ ... al-cricket
Yorkshire have been fined £400,000 and given a 48-point deduction in this year’s County Championship by the ECB’s Cricket Discipline Commission as a result of allegations of racism and discrimination at the club over a 17-year period. The club will not appeal against the decision, bringing to an end the turmoil provoked when Azeem Rafiq first made public his experiences at the club in September 2020.
They finished bottom of div 2 with 50 points and 1 win, so no real consequence.

This Aussie side don’t look confident with the bat.

How many times is Bairstow going to give Aussie batsman lives?

This is the tightest runout call I've seen.

Bairstow has absolutely fucked that - he broke the stumps before the ball arrived. You useless fucking ginger Yorkshire twat.

50 run partnership. Bairstow determined to torpedo our chances in this series right to the end.

Who was the sub fielder? That was sharp pickup and throw only to see it go to waste

Bairstow finally clings onto one, presumably because there was nobody nearby for him to leave it to.

Odd approach by Smith in the last few minutes - started swinging the bat at everything despite the partnership going well.

Dogshit approach by England here, letting them thrash away at the short stuff.
