Loving your workGumboot wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 4:51 am So long story short:
Foster's preferred assistants didn't want to work with him.
His next-best choices proved to be inadequate when the team played like shit, so he escapegoated them.
Some of his senior players backed him last year because, well, turkeys don't vote for Christmas.
Foster's next-next-best assistant coach choices are proving capable and the team's now making progress.
Which is really all down to the head coach...
Many thanks to Gregor Paul (and convoluted) for reminding me of why I'll never pay for the Herald.

Pack is maybe our best selection so far. Well balanced backrow at last.Sards wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 11:17 am Springboks –

Weak link probably Orie. But he is a bit underrated, he's a massive guy official stats are a lie I reckon, I've seen him in person and he's over 120kg. When you see Orie and Etzebeth together they're a very similar size. Boks sometimes do this with bigger forwards, Os had weight knocked off in his official stats (Jake White confirmed this), better a player looks normal in the stats so an opponent doesn't think "we have to tire them out".
Backline is more experimental and very fast.
Sad we have this fcuken idiot leading the All Blacks... I'd be quite happy for him and Frizell to fcuk off and never be seen again... just shows what a moron Foster is picking him.

What's the issue with him? Domestic violence as well?
Yeah Ardie, dickhead extraordinaire... throat slitting, conspiracy theorist, homophobe, anti-trans, Andrew Tate fan... that dickhead... he shouldn't be anywhere near the All Blacks for me... but if they have to play him, nowhere near any leadership group, let alone captain... #nodickheadspolicy scrapped?
That's disappointing. I knew he was a fundy, as many of them are, but Andrew Tate? Seriously?Grandpa wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 7:13 amYeah Ardie, dickhead extraordinaire... throat slitting, conspiracy theorist, homophobe, anti-trans, Andrew Tate fan... that dickhead... he shouldn't be anywhere near the All Blacks for me... but if they have to play him, nowhere near any leadership group, let alone captain... #nodickheadspolicy scrapped?

I'm not glued to news media so I happily admit I could esily have missed a story here... but can you provide some sort of background for that please, Grandpa... I've never heard of any of that connected with any of the current players. Only thing I have heard is SBW being a Tate fan.
Just looking now. Looks like he's removed the dodgy stuff from his twitter account... maybe after the outcry... but when I looked a few weeks ago after it was highlighted, he was re-tweeting a lot of anti-LGBT+ stuff and lots of re-tweets of Andrew Tate quotes... some not very nice towards women... I'm guessing someone in the All Blacks maybe had a word...Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 7:20 am I'm not glued to news media so I happily admit I could esily have missed a story here... but can you provide some sort of background for that please, Grandpa... Yup. Eddie will have them pumped up and they'll try to play an unsettling style to disrupt the Abs and slow the ball. If they can remain disciplined enough to get away with it they could do well but the issue for the Wallabies over recent games with NZ has been coming in too hot and blowing their loads over the niggle.

Just to be clear… I don’t have a problem with the Welcone to Country ceremonies that have become the norm for all public events in Oz. I enjoy them.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 9:53 am“My mum can’t be here tonight….”Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 9:49 am Jesus H frikkin Christ, the Aussies know how to talk a load of shit
What I was referring to was the verbal wankfest from the various commentators while the teams were back in the sheds.

That looked a bit easy for the Wobs. Making too much ground in contact.
