Scotland gave that everything but failed to take either of their two clear cut scoring chances. Hard to criticise them for being increasingly dominated at the set piece and breakdown. SA’s defence was immense.

Fuck me, haven't seen that called for decades. Gardner ends the game in a shit show, same as he's reffed the rest of it.
But we'll done SA, better by a distance, but not as big a one as it would have been five years ago.
As we all knew beforehand, we struggle to compete against big packs. That's why this is the worst draw imaginable for us. I'd have been more optimistic in with NZ and France Ffs.

I can guarantee there will still be people having a go at him for the loss.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 5:41 pmHe's certainly giving it full welly with the passes but Scotland can't get through that defence.

Scotland didn’t get close to a ruck turnover all game. Ireland will be a very different beast in 2 weeks time.
Did you see the 5 stupid chip kicks and 3 missed tackles from Willemse
In 80 mins? Yes I did.
Willie only played 8 mins. Almost as many mistakes in 1/10 the time.
And Esterhuizen at 12. Definitely
Can't understand why he's not first choice. Beautiful rugby player.
