Yep. The problem was that the assistant ref was judging it from a stationary position.

Georgia should be out of sight. Fiji look awful and completely shagged. Probably have another gear but not much sign thus far

Watching this with half an eye on that game - their total absence of a line out is front and centre for me. Buy shares in England kicking

Is this a first choice team for Fiji? They've had a good long rest since the Aus game, what have they been doing in that time to look this sorry?
Even with that. If they stop attempting throwing to the back they are fine.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 4:39 pmWatching this with half an eye on that game - their total absence of a line out is front and centre for me. Buy shares in England kicking

Dunno why I feel like support Georgia
It's the facial hair I think.

Let's see if this galvanises them a bit. Scoring a try while a man down after all their cack-handedness would have to be a boost.

That offload from Botia was filth. No right to get that away with a couple of Georgians on him, but he had his arms free as if he were just falling over.

I'd expect that to be a red and for Tuisova to miss the quarter final.

In two games Georgia must have had 25+ red zone visits for two tries. In reality they should be heading to face Wales next week for a spot in the quarters

I missed the end. But was there a couple of minutes on the clock when they kicked it.
If so, makes sense, they were 8 behind. Should always take a quick 3, then you’re straight back with a chance of try to win it. If you go for the try you will burn up the remaining time and at most get a try before time runs out, and lose.
Not the penalty, that was smart. The last play where he grubbered instead of keeping it in hand. Blew a possible try.Ymx wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 6:56 pmI missed the end. But was there a couple of minutes on the clock when they kicked it.

I thought the same at the time, and probably still think it wasn’t the best play there, but having just seen a replay Fiji had it covered better than I realized at the time. It’s not like they just needed one last pop pass.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 7:03 pmNot the penalty, that was smart. The last play where he grubbered instead of keeping it in hand. Good question, I don't get it either.
