Give them the maul try they should have had, and the one they bottled before half time… ffs this could have been an epic finish

That's the craziest thing, they actually didn't even play as well as they're capable of playing. They bottled some other chances too.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 5:33 pm Give them the maul try they should have had, and the one they bottled before half time… ffs this could have been an epic finish
Shocking from Australia, really. You really wonder what this game may have looked like without that Portuguese card in the first half.

Fun watch.
If the bullshit around the maul try didn’t happen, if the officiating team had made any real attempt to deal with Australia’s high shots, if Portugal had taken their three/four absolute stone dead chances…
I’ve been a real sceptic about promotion/relegation from the 6N, but must say this weekend has converted me. To see the ambition, the skill and the pride both Portugal and Georgia have shown, when compared to the patheticItaly performance, I’m happily on board with the idea now.

“It was a pet, not an animal. It had a name, you don't eat things with names, this is horrific!”
Koroibete has been doing no arms shoulder barges for awhile, the commentators always get very excited by them and say how much of a good tackle it is. It's completely illegal and should be a card. Refs don't care because there's no head contact. Did one last year on Mapimpi to prevent a try that the Aussies thought was brilliant. Lost his head in this game and was doing no arms torpedo shoulder barges on the regular.
Wallabies are a dumb low skilled team. They're shithouse.

Discipline of Cheika's Aus side was abysmal by the time he left them. Argentina have always had it in them to go on a penalty hot streak, it seems more regular with him at the helm.Simian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 9:10 pmyeah.. not surprised by EJ, but always reckoned C was good, tbh.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 8:50 pmIf your boss is a dickhead…..sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 5:55 pm

Cheika's a famously emotional hothead... there's no shortage of footage showing him getting all demonstrative in the box or on the sidelines when things go against his teams.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 11:35 pmDiscipline of Cheika's Aus side was abysmal by the time he left them. There's absolutely nothing wrong with displaying emotions, of course... but not at work, especially when you're employed in a role that demands calm decision making and rational process.
That emotional expression must rub off on his players and in his case, it's not a positive influence.
Eddie's personal demons are a darker, more elusive beast. His psyche must resemble the depths of the Pacific... unimaginably deep, populated with creatures of myth and terror while on the surface long periods of seeming calm turn in an instant into storms of horrifying intensity. He's a Grade A psycho...
but all he's doing is focussing on Portugal this week, mate.
