the Irish Housing Bubble has a lot to answer for.

If Scotland win this it would be an upset, but not a massive upset. It's 1 v 5 in the rankings and at a neutral venue. Must win for Scotland but not really must win for Ireland.

Yes I really think the extent to which this is ‘mission impossible’ is being overstated. Most likely result is an Ireland win of course but there are plenty of circumstances where Scotland are leading with a few to go and have to try and get another score ahead.Muttonbird wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 6:31 am If Scotland win this it would be an upset, but not a massive upset. Anyway marrying into a family with a large Scottish contingent I have been fitted for a kilt somewhat under protest, such a shame it isn’t ready as I’ve never seen a more appropriate day for one than today

On paper, Ireland but Scotland are a decent team and will break that jinx at some point.
A win would break all sorts of jinxes:
- Townsend v Ireland
- Any Scottish team over the last 12 years v Sexton
- Scotland at the world cup v a team in the top 10, except Italy, since the rankings came in to play
- A win in a RWC game we were underdogs for.
- A statement win in the RWC which we don't have.
As good a day as any to break all those.

If that were true our health service would be under less pressure.
