We've lost that traditional skill and many others to automation and cheap foreign labour.

If Scotland win this it would be an upset, but not a massive upset. It's 1 v 5 in the rankings and at a neutral venue. Must win for Scotland but not really must win for Ireland.

The biggest head to head will be Jim Hamilton vs Gordon Darcy in the commentary box.

Yes I really think the extent to which this is ‘mission impossible’ is being overstated. Most likely result is an Ireland win of course but there are plenty of circumstances where Scotland are leading with a few to go and have to try and get another score ahead.
Anyway marrying into a family with a large Scottish contingent I have been fitted for a kilt somewhat under protest, such a shame it isn’t ready as I’ve never seen a more appropriate day for one than today

Lots of fluster and fast hands from Darcy but Jim would only need one punch to finish him.

I’ve got the game day optimism flowing, a bit of Finn magic and back three pace and we can do it.

Will we see Robert MacIntyre vs Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry on the sidelines?

It's well past midday, what's stopping you?

Well up for the game, but still think Ireland by 15 plus.
There's a way to go, but I fancy them to win the tournament.
So I squares up, casual like.

On paper, Ireland but Scotland are a decent team and will break that jinx at some point.

A win would break all sorts of jinxes:
- Townsend v Ireland
- Any Scottish team over the last 12 years v Sexton
- Scotland at the world cup v a team in the top 10, except Italy, since the rankings came in to play
- A win in a RWC game we were underdogs for.
- A statement win in the RWC which we don't have.

As good a day as any to break all those.

I hope whoever gets out of this group goes on to win the tournament.

I really really hope it's Ireland, anyone but England or Wales.

Mockers only allow drinking after 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 first score.

If that were true our health service would be under less pressure.

I really hate myself for hoping Ireland wins. I'll drink Jameson with Pepsi Zero during the game, just to feel better.

The size of the in-goal area on the nostalgia replays :wtf:
