How he makes the 23 ahead of Ludlum is really puzzling to me.

The whole field to look at with no pressure and Farrell calls mark.

England's kicking advantage is gone now Pollard is on.

This is cruelly giving me the slightest sliver of hope. That not only are we not losing by more than 20 already but we're slightly ahead.

Rain getting heavier here, England 12-6, time for the Bokke forwards to step up and grind it out.

Looks like Rassie has spent too much time on Twitter instead of preparing his team.

I'm almost there, but still not really. Expect us to start losing once the subs start coming on.

They're playing really well.
They are. I think SA are the right type of pack for this England side to look good against. There's no Real subtlety in the SA forward play. No shifting the contact or offloads (granted weather is bad).

Dont worry, they are toying with you, giving you hope only to tear it cruelly away in the second half...make it more painful

It is cruel. Hopefully they will kill off all hope in the third quarter instead of leaving it till the last 20 minutes.

England are offering all they have to offer - defence, kick the leather off it and chase, take three points if an opportunity. Saffers have been very charitable so far in aiding our limited game plan, hope it continues

We are shit. We lost to France by 43 points at home. It just shows how bad at bottling world cup matches the French and Irish are.

Edit we also lost to Ireland by 13 and Scotland at home by 6.

Fair fecks to England. Got the better of the Bok pack for 40 minutes and that's not something you see every day.

Extremely funny half of rugby. Manu's shithousery costing us. England pack spoiling like fuck. Wingers existing just to chase kicks (and doing a great job). Farrell having his regular SA mental disintegration, putting in shit kicks, yelling at the ref, getting penalised for even more backchat, but nailing the penalties. Marler being huge in the tight but giving away a million penalties. Lawes picking the SA rucks clean. Mitchell raising his game finally. Mbonambi being incapable of throwing. SA losing their fucking minds over facing a team that simply refuses to play any rugby.

I thought the plan was for SA to play some rugby with Libbok at 10? Did Big Brain Rassie not realise than England's biggest weakness was teams willing to move the ball and run at them? This is weapons grade stupidity from the Saffers. Sadly I expect all change in the second half.

Absolutely no fear of a game of rugby breaking out in that half but it's been enjoyable for fans of absolute shithousery. Very funny stuff.

I expect the scrum solidity to melt away once Marler and Cole head off and that could well be the game in conditions like these.
