Probably wise, the second half hasn't got any better.

It's not working for England. Or at least England are appalling to watch and have an appalling win ratio.
I don’t see any correlation between the two things, sorry.
Yep. I don't see any correlation at all. We've seen decent talent in the premiership and England not doing anything with it. I like the premiership being a flatter more competitive league.

I hope that Borthers develops us a bit more of an attacking game now. But I do wonder with the players off to France, just how settled we can be? What new coaches do we have coming in?

Only one I've heard about is Felix Jones coming in from the SA coaching setup. Appears to be replacing Sinfield.

Borthwick is going to have to change his kick chase strategy - jonny may has confirmed retirement from internationals

There was a point where he was shit hot and he did a hell of a job in the semis. Sadly he was picked for too long which probably dulls how effective he was in a lot of minds

Sinckler and Ludlam off to France next season apparently. A real shame to lose the latter, we've all made our thoughts known about the former. Still, if anything's going to sort his scrummaging out again. it's the Top14.

Also Watson rejoining Leicester in December which I didn't really see coming after the RFU had to step in and pay his wages over the summer to keep him with England.

The RFU were simply trying to get a rise out of the former London Irish , supporting Leicester by paying the wages of their player for a temporary period in exactly the way they told LI they couldn't countenance. Yes different circumstances, but one can see why it'd be vexing to those who championed LI

I would add I don't know if it helps Leicester with the cap, but it's something those administering the cap should consider for the future now it's a possibility.

Not sure the situations are really comparable tbf. Not a huge amount the RFU could do in the short term with LI.

Other clubs may be a bit miffed by them subbing Watson's wages for a few months though with a proto central contract, when it was pretty likely he wasn't going to leave Leicester.

Good win for Saints against Bath. The far from world-renowned Saints scrum marmaslised the Bath scrum. Pearson looked good again, ideal time to make him a fixture in the England squad with Lawes retiring.

Itoje was excellent, the best player on the pitch by a mile. Earl was very good, but disappeared for a while. Tigers don't know what to do in the opposition 22, maybe the returnees will sort that out.

Farrell was toilet though, responsible for both Leicester tries.

If Sarries had a decent 10 and some pace on the wings they would be virtually untouchable.

Agreed he was poor. He tore up trees in the Sarries system last year. Our issue is a 9

Quins scored some ridiculous tries yesterday. Newcastle aren't very good, but the way Quins passed and offloaded would have given Borthwick a heart attack.

And Green's catch and place off Smith's bomb (as Smith was getting clobbered) is try of the season material.

Looks like being at Exeter is suiting Ehren Painter, maybe he will finally kick on and push for international honours.

It really bugs me that of all the constant ‘the NFL does x’ you get around rugby, consistent kits isn’t one that’s picked up on. I’m watching a game now and the Baltimore “uniform” would be recognisable to someone who hadn’t watched a game in yonks. People like the traditional kits!

Absolutely. Obviously there's a need to have a change strip in the event of colour clashes, but there's no way clubs need a third strip for Europe nor to change all three every season.

Chiefs appointed Ross McMillan (Ex Saints player) as scrum coach after L Irish went bust. Looks like Painter is getting some better coaching than he got at Saints from Ferguson.

It'll be good to see the fringe players, and upcoming talent, get a run out. And an excellent development game for the Portugese. Hope they do more of these.

Really looking forward to arguing how the A team could put fifty on the test team.

I'm not sure if you're slagging England, Sarries or Leicester.

If it's Leicester, carry on
