I presume Ooms laaitjie hacked his account. I'm too old to understand Gen Z vernacular.
The Sharks matches were more watched than the Stormers

There was a poster that followed attendance trends

Bosch? Cronje? Nope.

Good to see WP signed their top SA Schools schoolboys like Fuller, de Jong, Kyle Smith, Xola Nyali and JC Mars.

The Hendrikse signing is possible the best signing we've made in a long time. I've always liked him and thought it's such a shame we let him slip through the net, especially when his brother has thrived with us.
returning home
potential 9/10 axis with his boet
only 22
Give him two years and let's see where he is on the Bok radar.
He'll be much-needed backup to Bosch. I suspect this mean they see Chamberlain's future at 15, and Cronje must already be looking for his 99th club to play for.

It's professional. If the boys want proper management the Bulls and Sharks are the place to beOomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 6:22 pm I thought they grow their on schoolboy players

Kak praat. They lost heavily against WP in the most important one.
I'm not quite sure what the $harks should do for the Challenge Cup.
Realistically, we're never going to win it and nobody appears to take it very seriously.
Do we bank on trying to get some home wins and send the kids up north for the away games?
Do we stick with the same starting lineup to give Plumtree a chance to get some more gametime, and for the players to make some amends for their dreadful performances?
Eish. What a vokop of a season so far that had so much promise.

The Challenge Cup is a total different competition. Sharks surely can win it.

Thank you for your confidence. But even if we do top the log, we then end up playing against the likes of Clermont, Edinburgh, Montpellier, Lions in the round of 16. Playing away in France or Scotland will be very very difficult to win.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 6:51 am Your Challenge Cup fixtures

Stop being weak and get ready for Wright/Boeta to beat Poes first up.

Honestly, the Stormers play Leicester away on sunday, 6 days later the Rochelle, the champs at home. No way Dobson can play his strongest team in both.assfly wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 6:57 amThank you for your confidence. Ja I can see why teams have to pick between the league and the cup. You have to have some serious depth in your squad, as well as a kind fixture list and a somewhat lucky draw. Plus SA teams have to factor in the travel. Playing Leicester and la Rochelle successively is very tough.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 7:54 am Honestly, the Stormers play Leicester away on sunday, 6 days later the Rochelle, the champs at home. I know it was "only" Pau, but at least it's a home win under the belt and a much better performance.
More of what we expect from Eben, and Am is starting to show a return to his 2021-2022 form at long last, helped by Francois Venter's best game for us yet. We also look much better with Williams at 9, not sure how we're going to balance having two Bok 9s.

If the idea is to play at that pace, I'd honestly be a fan of an extended run with Williams at wing to play as a second 9. Reckon either would be a better distributor than Bosch (seeing as Chamberlain not getting a look in) and allows two good support runners for short breaks. Kok nor Potgieter a significant loss (though I did think the latter had a solid performance, just don't see the skillset or physical attributes to play higher than a bulky centre at wing). Dyantyi trying too hard.assfly wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 5:58 am I know it was "only" Pau, but at least it's a home win under the belt and a much better performance.

Outlandish of course, but anyway.
Well this season continues to go from bad to worse.
Credit to the Cheetahs; they clearly wanted it more than us.
We were just woeful. Lethargic and uncoordinated. Beyond 3 phases, we are lost. Lineouts were a mess.
We should have sent up our b-team, as this match was always a banana skin.
3 weeks break until we play the Lions, who in all likelihood will beat us too.
I know we've got a lot of injuries, but the shit being dished out by a lot of our senior players isn't good enough. I think we need a serious cleanout of deadrubber in our squad.

Must be terrible for you after positing so much negatives about the Stormers. Curwin Bosch has been kak for a decade now.
Ja.
Hookers that can't throw in
Largely anonymous loosies
Curwin Bosch
No captain
Plumtree

Enjoy the win Chilli.
Agreed about the hookers, it's a massive problem for us. Watching some of the other teams this weekend, I can't understand how we get it so wrong.
Loosies are definitely work-shy.
Bosch is Bosch, nothing new there. At least he's consistent
Captaincy is definitely an issue. The body language on the field is awful, nobody is driving them.
I don't think we can start throwing Plumtree under the bus yet. Professional players have to at least get the basics right.
