RIP
It's hard now to appreciate that he, Edwards, John etc were all amateurs, & were as magically skilled as they were, while still doing a regular job during the week, & rocking out for their clubs at the weekend.

RIP.
JPR formed some of my earliest rugby memories.

Jonathan Joseph also a good tennis player (although not to that extent), must be something about great footwork and balance.
I've heard mixed reviews about JPR's medical skills though!
Did he work on Liam Williams' knees?inactionman wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 11:36 am

My parents took me to a British Lions' game against a combined local team for my 10th birthday, in 1971. It's my first live rugby memory... the 71 Lions fercryinoutloud. JPR and his sideburns were part of the sort of primary coding my rugby programming received.
I know it's simply nature doing its thing but this getting older and watching the trees thin out around you has knobs all over it. RIP JPR.
