Wonder what got Pollock so riled up there? Replays didn't seem to show anything.
Good score from McParland.

England suddenly gone a bit panicky on the back foot.
The usual England thing of just giving dumb penalties awaysockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:56 pm England suddenly gone a bit panicky on the back foot.

Been a while since seeing this level of mismatch at the set piece.
The coms here have mentioned how playing in the Super 6 has improved the Scottish players - Super 6 is 6 teams of semi- pros who are on around £3000 per year.
They also mentioned how many of the French side play in the Top 14
It is what it is, but it's not a like for like comparison.

So they are all fully professional then. We don't have one guy who is fully pro.
The gulf in the backs between the two sides is huge
Yes there may be some nationale players too (they are pro as well)Tichtheid wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:46 pmlaurent wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:44 pmA number in D2 as wellTichtheid wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:42 pm

That was a really enjoyable game.
Our fly half tried to put it right into the corner from penalties and missed four times - given that our maul works really well that was a big influence in the match
Scotland 14 - 29 France at the final whistle

I only saw two of the four, but it could easily have been a lot closer if not for those misses. Very good second half from Scotland.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Good to see Edogbo Jr getting the start after single handedly pulling the last match out of the fire.

England dominant, but somewhat profligate. Scots haven't offered much outside of a couple of breakaway moments there were defused before the 22 was threatened.
They're playing like they're still being coached to improve as players, rather than aiming to win the game.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 7:52 pm England dominant, but somewhat profligate. Going for the fifty fifty offloads, trying to execute their skills under pressure.
They'll concede points doing this, but they'll be better players in the long term for it too.
Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

He's in touch.
It is nice to see the ambition and when it does come off it looks great.Raggs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 7:58 pmThey're playing like they're still being coached to improve as players, rather than aiming to win the game.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 7:52 pm England dominant, but somewhat profligate.
