Yep! You would struggle to get a cigarette paper between the barbarity and duplicitousness shown by Hammas, IDF and Russia to be honest!

Permatroll ymx wanted someone to compare Hamas with the Israeli government and jumped at the chance not realising he was comparing Hamas with Russia. What a blunder

His sources continue to be a bizarre mix, today it’s a twitter account with a reputation for spreading misinformation disseminating material from an organisation started by an Israeli ex secret service employee, yesterday it was some random Glasgow Rangers fan.
I’ll take the abuse. It is deservedI like neeps wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:59 amPermatroll ymx wanted someone to compare Hamas with the Israeli government and jumped at the chance not realising he was comparing Hamas with Russia. What a blunder
The atrocities of October were met with universal disgust.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall one iota of regret from you or your sidekick here over what has unfolded since then and in particular the actions of the IDF, I may be wrong on that and if I am I will retract it fully.
The actions of Hamas in October were barbarous and atrocious and all the perpetrators must be held to account and punished accordingly. However Natanyahu and his ultra right wing fanatics have used the October attack as an opportunity to drive the Palestinians population from the Gaza Strip and are killing tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians in the process. Their actions are also barbarous and atrocious and they too must be held to account and p punished accordingly. There are extreme nutters in both Hamas and in the Israeli government and whilst they are in control they seem happy to drive their people, their county, the region and possibly the world into an almighty nightmare. Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people and the Netanyahu government does not represent the jewish people.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:27 amThe atrocities of October were met with universal disgust.

War criminals are war criminals. Israel's government is advocating ethnic cleansing and implementing it.
Hamas are same
Russian government is same.
Just been looking up the US positions on the Uyghurs since I recall them making a lot of noise about that since Trump's time in the White House.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national ... story.html
Biden admins position has been that China is committing genocide against the Uyghurs. Given that they dismissed South Africa's accusations as without merit I would like to know what their criteria is given that they believe China guilty of genocide but not Israel.
Seems very inconsistent and selective, genocide is not a term to be thrown around lightly.

The criteria for genocide is: it's genocide if our enemies do it, it's baseless if our allies do it.Hugo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 4:49 pm Just been looking up the US positions on the Uyghurs since I recall them making a lot of noise about that since Trump's time in the White House.

I've always assumed the lives of Palestinians are worthless to the puppet masters of hamas and Israels response has way more to do with sending a message to the gulf kingdoms and Russia etc... of don't fuck with us.
With the growth of renewables america and Europe should be able to withdraw from the region.

How many of the pro pali crowd have protested against the Chinese? Any of them? This is repression on a scale far larger than anything the Jews, sorry, the Israelis are doingHugo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 4:49 pm Just been looking up the US positions on the Uyghurs since I recall them making a lot of noise about that since Trump's time in the White House.

Which is why the Saudis, basically MbS, are so keen to have a security deal with the USA, which would entail some level of normalisation of relations with Israel.petej wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:36 pm I've always assumed the lives of Palestinians are worthless to the puppet masters of hamas and Israels response has way more to do with sending a message to the gulf kingdoms and Russia etc... of don't fuck with us.

And yes, as Shurkin says, this is very much about sending a message to Hezbollah and Iran, where previous limited Israeli responses to Hamas And Hezbollah attacks have failed in that regard.

You are the only poster referring to 'the Jews'... everyone arguing against the current operation refers to the IDF or the Israeli government, with the odd reference to the Zionists or the hard right within the Israeli parliament.Calculon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:38 pmHow many of the pro pali crowd have protested against the Chinese? It's typical of your posting style to misrepresent this way. It's essentially dishonest, disingenuous twisting words to try and support your own argument ... which suffers as a result. Your stance has no integrity.
Why are you concerned with what the "pro pali" crowd are doing and not the actual people with political and military power?Calculon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:38 pmHow many of the pro pali crowd have protested against the Chinese? Are you seriously more annoyed with the people holding placards and peacefully marching than those who are committing industrial scale murder against Palestinian civilians?

wtf is "pro pali"? That is reduction to an infantile level an issue that is dealing with tens of thousands of deaths through bombing, displacement and starvation.
Do you really want to talk about numbers and scale?
At least you seem to be admitting at last that there is repression in what the current Israeli government are meting out in Gazza, finally an admission on that front from you.

It's to enable them to describe everyone who is against what the state of Israel do as AntiSemitic, which of course is such a loaded term because of the history of it.
It's just plain lying, in my book, it's dishonest in the extreme.

No one has tried to frame the events in Ukraine and the opposition to Russia as anti-secular, which would be a direct equivalent, and just as risible

If we ignore the anti-semitism smear and look at the actual point within, the obvious difference is that China doesn't cosplay as a western style democracy and reap all the benefits that come with it.Hugo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:57 pmWhy are you concerned with what the "pro pali" crowd are doing and not the actual people with political and military power?Calculon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:38 pmHow many of the pro pali crowd have protested against the Chinese? The obvious point being the selective outrage against the sole Jewish state form the pro pali obsessives. Plim summed up it well:
and its only become worse since most of the sensible posters have abandoned this hate-fest of a thread. It really should have been locked ages ago.
Plim wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 4:40 pm What a fucking depressing read this thread is. A country wishes to defend itself from murderous nutters. Cue the outcry.
I posted a long time ago on PR about the Corbynites' antisemitism. The shite that was peddled then by posters - "'Zionists' doesn't mean Jews", "I know a Jew who agrees with me", "it's all manipulated by Israeli propaganda" is oozing out again, here and elsewhere.
Those who spend their time being more bothered (and in many cases exclusively bothered) by Israel and the Jewish people's willingness to defend themselves may as well have 'I dislike and distrust Jews and I therefore oppose anything to do with the single, homeland Jewish state" tattooed on their foreheads.

Please make up your mind.
For those who think this is not being directed at non Israeli Jews. I dare you to wear a kippah or Star of David in London. Especially on a Saturday.
One of the group claimed she called the Metropolitan Police 10 times in fear for her life to be told by the operator: "You are not the only one that called tonight".
The thugs launched the attack at around 1.30am on Sunday morning as two Jewish men and one woman walked through the square.
The woman, who gave her name as Tehilla, told the Telegraph the group were speaking Hebrew when men surrounded them and said "are you Jewish?"
The 28-year-old told the paper: "I said 'yes, I'm Jewish,' and then they started chanting 'Free Palestine', and f*** Jews' all this kind of swearing at us.
"So we just tried not to get into trouble, to walk away, but they started following us and then all of a sudden, it started with like two or three guys, and all of a sudden, they called all their friends and 15 to 20 guys started attacking us physically."
Tehilla, who claims she suffered neck and leg injuries, while her friends were punched in the head, added she was "scared she was going to die".
However, she added that when she rang the Met and told them she and her friends were being attacked because they were Jewish, police "kept saying 'I'm sorry, it takes some time, you are not the only one that called tonight".
Which is not happening in London.
Nor was there anything like this in relation to a number of worldly horrors.
