This game would be at Italy's mercy if they just kept ticking along in disciplined fashion. Since butchering that conversion though they've done anything but.

Italy need to go back to focusing on doing the basics well per the first quarter. They've been dragged into a nervy shitfest since Garbisi missed the conversion.
Wales look completely hapless and hopeless.

Probably a little harsh as italy's line out and scrum are solid.S/Lt_Phillips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:00 pm Italy pretty inaccurate but Wales making it so easy for them.
We need to calm down a bit. Things are working well we do t need to force thingssockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:03 pm Italy need to go back to focusing on doing the basics well per the first quarter. They've been dragged into a nervy shitfest since Garbisi missed the conversion.

That is true. But they've let Wales off the hook a few times, and having kicks charged down from rucks is sloppypetej wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:03 pmProbably a little harsh as italy's line out and scrum are solid.S/Lt_Phillips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:00 pm Italy pretty inaccurate but Wales making it so easy for them.

Two suspiciously 'flat' passes in quick succession there for Wales to actually get something going. Undone by an unforced error.
Good timing to score that while Barclay is in the middle of commenting about them retreating to a kicking game.

Lovely running. Makes the Welsh defenders look a bit ordinary there. Thought he was running into a bit of a dead end, but no.

Wales movement all over the pitch is glacial, they're being completely outplayed by this very decent Italian side. Humiliating

Would like a replay of that hit by Grady on Menoncello.
Edit - there we go. Perhaps a bit lucky for that to be penalty only since it was always high.

Its almost impressive the way Wales find new & inventive ways to fuck up, & string together so many fuck ups .
You'd think they even accidentally do something right occasionally, but no

If the game was closer that could have been a yellow.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:28 pm Would like a replay of that hit by Grady on Menoncello.

First time the ref gives a penalty for coming in at the side. Must be frustrating for the players when he's been letting that go all afternoon so far

Horrendous mullet on Martin. Should be an instant penalty to the opposition if players want to take the field with that sort of thing.
He should pay extra for being responsible for serving up this shite.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 3:21 pm Wonder if Gatland has his lawyers looking for an exit clause yet ?
He's always happy to make excuses, but this team is poorly selected and poorly prepared. That's his fault.
