Fucking hero. Prioritised the society at a difficult time.

And there’s pricks giving out about not being able to spend money outside the state for a year. Fuck me

There probably isn't a public health official on the planet who isn't working all the hours for the last six months; but its cruel to ask a man to sacrifice the time he has left with his wife.

SF getting an absolute shoe-ing on The Nolan Show this morning for apparently taking over a Belfast City council crematorium and sending all the staff home for the Storey funeral.

Mary Lou saying that everything was planned with the PSNI and the PSNI denying this.

Complete shit show.

I still stand by my assertion yesterday that this won’t even cause a slight ripple in the support for SF up north, despite the astounding levels of hypocrisy and disregard for the law.

Especially given that the DUP have taken away the threat of bringing down the executive.

Yes - I think we'll all end up with wearable devices in lanyard format when we all get back to the offices ..... with alarms sounding if too many people are in a room, or if you're standing too close to someone for too long

Not a huge leap to see it in public locations also .... like pubs

I'm with mullet (and Holohan) re: the likelihood of us ending up back in a Leicester/Texas style lockdown soon enough .... the fact that one gobshite in Sligo can infect 14 family members is scary AF.

Cammy - the Devlin is pretty well placed to manage social distancing ... Birchalls has no chance
Rumour has it it was one of the Sligo based Iraqi’s that brought back the plague with him from his homeland. Probably infected other family and friends. Lots of Iraqi barbers.

Martyn Turners cartoon in the IT today is spot on.

Image

I don't think that ML and the shinners will live this down, when you see for example, Martins family staying in Cork as he was elected Taoiseach, or more pertinently, Garda Horkans funeral, which Varadkar et al didn't attend due to the lockdown requirements.

Unfortunately, I suspect that some DUP loolah will give them some sort of out in a week or sos time.

The fact that they had a fake funeral at Milltown and then went to Roselawn for a cremation is even worse

ABP have given PP for SDCCs Dublin Mountain Visitor Centre on Montpelier Hill adjacent to the Hell Fire Club. The centre is far enough away from the HFC not to impinge on it; and given Coillte's plan to turn over all the forests in the Dublin mountains from commercial to recreational use, is, imo, a good thing.

The Centre and associated car park will be located in the woods to the right of the HFC in the top picture, connected by an elevated timber walkway.

the nimbys are already out in force against it so that will probably delay things

And AJ and his ambulance chasing colleagues will be licking their lips at a elevate timber walkway. Any little slip or tumble will result in major payouts on the basis that council have provided it so it should be in perfect order 100% of the time and idiot proof in the extreme

If the term of government does actually last a full 5 years I think there will be plenty of opportunity for SF to shoot themselves in the foot. The silver lining of them being the main opposition is FF, FG and the GP calling them on their magic money tree BS

He does but they've also tried to use Horkan's funeral as justification.

What they don't get is that no main political figure attended that. They're like a child saying 'but he got away with it so why can't we?'.

I did say that. But someone got away with it without outcry so why not them was my point. As I said, they didn't get the difference between regular people and political figures who are supposedly meant to set an example. I mean Mary Lou wants to be Taoiseach and does this?

Universal access works are sanctioned when the school enrolls a wheelchair bound child. And will have been in the system for years.

I remember being involved in getting a lift fitted under the scheme in Holy Faith School in Glasnevin. The works were requested when the child entered first year, and the lift was finally completed when she was half way through sixth year !

This is just a politician megaphoning any government spending in their constituency.

I’m not sure of URH’s allegation as I’ve only followed what has been said on the Nolan show but it would hardly be surprising given the state of the scumbags.

I know you Mexicans hate them as well (for being criminals as well as being just hateful marxist pricks) but they are just a flash in the pan trend (hopefully) down south.

We have to suffer these cunts and their supporters with absolutely no view of ever eradicating them as long as we remain part of the UK. Its quite depressing to know that some day in the future they will win.

I grew up in a unionist family but have lived in the Republic for a decade now. The Shinners are not at all indicative of your average person who believes in a 32 county state.
No, but they're the driver in the north and they will claim victory north and south if it happens. I agree that the Unionists have to call for it/agree to it for it to ever happen in a way that works for everyone.

I'll never lecture the unionists again about working with the shinners

We came very close to a shinner government. They are very dangerous. They are economically illiterate, populist and you know if there was a united Ireland they would rub the unionists noses in it.

Their sympathisers justifying the attendance at the funeral by using Noah Donahoe’s funeral is what pisses me off the most

URH, I've not seen anything on that. What's the story there.
Surely they are not comparing funerals of an innocent 14 year old with a man who is allegedly a serial murderer?
Look at any replies on Twitter and you get some Shinnerbots claiming that since there was no/little social distancing at ND’s funeral, and isn’t getting criticism, then you can’t criticise O’Neill. Plum.
