Good game at Thomond. Munster's strength showed in the end, especially up front.
But a good outing from Ulster. A few fuck ups but generally a positive display.
I give us about a 1/1,000 chance in Dublin against a pissed off and motivated Leinster side. But . . .

He's the athlete we've needed in the pack for some time. Serious gas and aggression from him, have high hopes for his future. Thought McCann was excellent again as well, our player of the season IMO. But think he'd be better suited to 6 as he doesn't have the gas for 7.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 6:32 pmIzzy is pretty good.Jim Lahey wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 6:21 pm Good game at Thomond. Willem Alberts played his last pro game for lions against Stormers yesterday at the age of 40. Quite an achievement for a massively physical player in such an attritional position.

I see that if the results in the knockouts go in such a way that the Bulls host the final, they will most likely not host the final at Loftus due to it being the same day as the presidential inauguration and that the more likely destination would be the FNB stadium as the Bulls listed it as an alternative to Loftus. So they will have to try fill up a 90000+ seater stadium.
With the previous presidential inauguration Loftus was part of it due to its proximity to the Union Building and even if Loftus was not part of the program, the proximity would make it difficult to plan logistics for both the match and the inauguration.

well they did not demand for the moving of the inauguration, they are moving themselves FNB was listed as their alternative stadium for the whole season if another stadium was required for whatever reason.
To hell with the inauguration, rugby is much better in this country anyway. for getting people together to celebrate. Unfortunately I do not see anyone turning Munster over at home in the QF and SF and if results go according to the log, it will be the Bulls and Leinster to face off in the SF, not an easy task in itself.
At least the Ireland team gets a chance to have have match training in Loftus.

Speaking of the FNB, they could have had the Ireland and All Black games there and completely sold it out as well.

It could be the half-time entertainment. At least it would have to be over in 10 minutes.bok_viking wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 2:05 pm well they did not demand for the moving of the inauguration, they are moving themselves FNB was listed as their alternative stadium for the whole season if another stadium was required for whatever reason.

I like that Stormers backline, as long as they don't kick everything away. I know Feinberg DOESN'T like to kick.....OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:59 am Roos out injured, no chance for Stormers.

Excited but nervous. Ospreys have a decent front five.

Only 10000 in Scotstoun? The Stormers supporters should fill that.
Just over 7000 capacity. There is quite a bit of apathy in Weegieland with the capitulation against the Lions and then misfiring against Zebre. The form has plummeted, I'm a STH and can't be arsed going. Want to watch the English final on TV. Warriors haven't read the room, ticket prices also remain extortionate putting off the spur of the moment supporters deciding to go.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 8:03 am Only 10000 in Scotstoun? On my way to the bulls game now. Looks like they might have between 20-30k people there today. A good day to sit on the east stand in the sun on a chilly day.
