For me the problem is his attention span. He's been a good player for a while, but there'd be moments in defence especially when chasing a ball etc, that he'll be staring at the ground as he jogs forward, not paying attention as someone runs past him. He does seem to have improved in that in the last season or so.

He's certainly had his injury issues, but a real drop in form was definitely a factor.
