All Blacks Vs England Test Series and Fiji Exhibition matchthread
I'll give that 5.5 out of 10. The main benefit is that the players learned each others names.
Patches of good work interspersed with some real dross. Liked Aumua at hooker, Cortez at halfback, Proctor at centre and Clarke on the wing. 12/13 worked well for a change but didn't have the defensive pressure of the Poms or what the Saffers will bring.
Must do better quickly.

I drink and I forget things.
Thought Blackadder had a mixed game - did some good things, but lost the ball a couple of times and missed a few tackles. Jacobson was very solid at 6, and won plenty of clean lineout ball, but of course Fiji doesn't have England's lineout. Enjoyed Tosi's touches when he came on.
We are in fine shape at half back with both doing well today. Proctor had a solid debut, Aumua should be starting in our top team, ALB looked very good, agree about Blackadder being a bit of a mixed bag, Clarke better than he has been for a while.
Would agree, it wasn't a complete performance but signs are Razor is starting to get the work rate out of his new players. Marked improvement needed before we face Los Pumas and the Saffas (now that is going to be one hell of an assignment).Enzedder wrote: Sat Jul 20, 2024 4:47 am I'll give that 5.5 out of 10. Has Proctor done enough to nab the jersey, reminded me a lot of Conrad Smith.
Still think we are lacking a couple of players with the X factor, but injuries etc to some key performers who should be on the mend.
WOW our number nine stocks are well and truly in the plus column, am excluding a certain Blues player here.

Yep, we're lucky to have so many halfbacks coming through. It'll be interesting to see who ends up being Roigard's long-term deputy.
Our stable of young props is pretty damn tasty right now too, with looseheads like de Groot, Williams and Ofa (OK, not so young), and at tighthead we have Lomax, Newell and Tosi.

I'm not convinced that isn't Caleb's younger, slimmer brother... what a transformation..Kiwias wrote: Sun Jul 21, 2024 2:58 am I know the try was disallowed because of an infringement earlier in the move but how good was the in-out move by Clarke to beat his opposing winger and score that try. I can't remember ever seeing him do that before.
