I guess someone explained to the orange rapist that now that the Democratic candidate has changed he's going to have to hand over another $50+ million to his campaign consultants, so they can do a totally new set of research to come up with a completely new campaign; and given that he's reported to have stiff the consultants after his 2020 failure, I doubt anyone will start working on a new campaign until the cash is in their account.
This is one area where the lack of time totally favours the Dems; they always knew who they were going to face, & have everything ready to go, & the money to make it happen; now all the GOPs plans are worthless, & they need to come up with a new gameplan.

Talk about totally deluded. Manchin, a flip-flop Democrat who is now officially registered as an Independent, reckons he would turn down an offer from Kamala Harris to become her VP. In what fucking universe does he think that is even the most miniscule probability?

The Senator for coal? The only thing he brought to the Democrats is the electoral college votes in a red area, otherwise he would be out without self-registratrion.Kiwias wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 3:49 am Talk about totally deluded. I don’t get this. Apparently he’s calling for an open primary so might be looking at a run.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:00 amThe Senator for coal? I suspect the reason Biden was eventually persuaded to hand over is that there's been polling over the last couple of months suggesting that Harris has a better chance of beating Trump.
$81m raised in the 24 hours since she announced her candidacy. I think it's fair to say there's a reasonable amount of enthusiasm around her. She's a candidate who'll be able to campaign fully and around whom people can rally and be positive unlike Biden about whom they had to be defensive.
Meanwhile the Republicans keep saying stupider and stupider things that continue to alienate women, who tend to have greater turnout than men. It's not huge, but US elections turn on a relatively small proportion of votes.
He generously offered that he would be open to re-registering as a Democrat in order to have a run at the nomination. He is an utterly amoral arsehole.Sinkers wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:43 amI don’t get this. US Secret Service Chief goooonnneee
Cheatle resigns 'with heavy heart'
published at 16:17
We've seen a copy of the letter Kimberly Cheatle has sent to colleagues in the US Secret Service, in which she explains her decision to quit.
She says that the service's mission is to protect the nation's leaders and that she is taking responsibility for the service falling short, with security lapses that allowed the attempt on Donald Trump's life during his 13 July rally.
Cheatle says that she did not want calls for her resignation to be "a distraction from the great work each and every one of you do towards our vital mission".
She goes on to say that she would always put the needs of the service first, and so made the "difficult" decision "with a heavy heart" to step down.
Cheatle goes on to thank her colleagues and say they deserve the nation's support in "carrying out our critical mission".
he's going to fucking hate her.

I'm just waiting for the racist comments to start, or at least for someone to leak audio of them, because I'm damn sure they're already happened.Slick wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 6:28 pmhe's going to fucking hate her.

I reckon it's because God wants to see him implode when he is beaten by a black/Indian woman.

Joe is a kindly bloke, & I think would have pardoned him if /when he is found guilty in the Federal cases; Kamala on the other hand loathes him, & is a former prosecutor who's seen scum like him her entire career & would probably re-start the executions in Federal cases just for him !

Yeah, I'd rather see him rot behind bars somewhere for his few remaining years.
Anyway, Good News !!
First proper poll out today (IPSOS), & it shows that despite a week of Convention coverage, or possibly because of it; the polling went from Biden (-2%) to the Traitor, to Harris (+2%) !!!

I reckon that if (IF) Kamala did win, she'd be looking at a hard restructure of the Supreme Court terms and whatever process can be served on the corruption evident there.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:52 pm

If the Democrats can get control of the Senate & the House then reform of SCOTUS has to be front & center; & with the depth of feeling about the obvious corruption there, it'll be a popular measure as long as it isn't done in a partisan way, but I don't expect the Democrats to do it that way.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:36 pmI reckon that if (IF) Kamala did win, she'd be looking at a hard restructure of the Supreme Court terms and whatever process can be served on the corruption evident there.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:52 pm

Agreed, I don't think they would. AOC has already launched action but I think the numbers will defeat her... the way she's spoken on the issue has been pretty clear and rational, no party politics to it.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:40 pmIf the Democrats can get control of the Senate & the House then reform of SCOTUS has to be front & center; & with the depth of feeling about the obvious corruption there, it'll be a popular measure as long as it isn't done in a partisan way, but I don't expect the Democrats to do it that way.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:36 pmI reckon that if (IF) Kamala did win, she'd be looking at a hard restructure of the Supreme Court terms and whatever process can be served on the corruption evident there.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:52 pm

The whole video is really good, but the last minute or so nails what the difference in the the two candidates is, & indeed the two administrations.
In a couple of questions she nails a hack like Barrs arse to the wall, & forces him into the position of perjuring himself, or humming & hawing enough to let everyone know he's a lying POS and his boss is an even bigger POS.

Slate has a shovel meter for the US election, which on a one to five rating basis, tells you how many times you would need to be hit over the head with a shovel today to not be concerned about trump being re elected
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
