Kyle Rowe is a very generous teammate

Must say my sympathy for Uruguay is somewhat diminished by silly off the ball play
He wasn’t last week, must have had a bollocking
All the money you made will never buy back your soul
It really isn’t. I turned on to see Duhan run in his record-breaking try. That was 19-0 and then Healy hit the post with the kick. Since then we’ve been our own worst enemies. At least two proper chances butchered, losing our own lineout, some shithouse defence for their tries…
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
This is fucking atrocious.Yr Alban wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 7:49 pmIt really isn’t. I turned on to see Duhan run in his record-breaking try. That was 19-0 and then Healy hit the post with the kick. Ben Healy doesn’t work does he? Looking forward to us playing a bit now Hastings is on.

Horne has been slow getting the ball away a few times, and the Uruguay defence is sharp enough to take advantage.
Amongst the other poor play

We've ran the players into the ground for very little gain. Pre season has already started, most NH teams stopped internationals two weeks ago.
Concerning that the backs haven't really clicked all tour. Even Duhans try should have seen Rowe straighten and give it rather than eat up a lot of the space.

Had I not stuck £20 on Ashman scoring first at 7-1 I would have considered that a waste of 80 mins of my life

Story of the game at the end there. Wild West breakdown, mad decision making from both teams, a banker try squandered because our winger didn’t pass. Atrocious stuff all round.
Got the win, nobody got injured, move on. The boys are clearly shagged from 12 straight months of rugby.
Scotland need a new attack coach.

There were a series of decisions in the last 10 that only made sense if the ref was actively trying to keep Uruguay in the game.
End of season game that only the two unions involved thought was a good idea. Players looked tired. We won it, the end.

Before tonight I've been a defender of Townsend, but he's been in the post a long time now. He can't put out a team that look vulnerable to the likes of Uruguay - we have no right to beat them, we need to earn it, but we are fully professional with all our players tonight playing in the URC, one of the top four leagues in the world.
Because he’s not very good.

I just can't understand how our full-time professional players can be so utterly and consistently shite at managing games. Franco seems to have turned Glasgow around in no time, yet Townsend remains unable to build anything even when he's given the best groups of players we've had in the pro era. I see no justification at all for sticking with GT. Loads and loads of chances, loads and loads of demonstrations of inability to coach at this level.

Game had a real end of season, looking forward to the beach feel about it.

28 tries in less than four years is a heck of an achievement.
Here are all 28 scores from Duhan's record breaking tally:

Meanwhile Hogg is arguing with Graham Love on twitter. Maybe he should reflect on the variance in narrative this week and why things turned out so differently for him than he thinks it should have.topofthemoon wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2024 1:57 pm 28 tries in less than four years is a heck of an achievement.

The longer it goes on the more stories I am hearing. I am sure much of it is nonsense, but I also am starting to think some of them might be true.
The new top. They've changed it, didn't require that when I posted it.charltom wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 10:08 amNeeds an Arnold Clark account. What is it?Jock42 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 8:06 am https://arnoldclark.wistia.com/medias/g ... 8MNmXcdHFA
