Hopefully Glasgow destroy Edinburgh, could spark some change.
Bit of that but also that every step Glasgow take is with intent and aggressionBig D wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:21 pm No desire in defence at all from Edinburgh.
Crosbie and Bradbury grabbing shirts rather than making hits. School boy stuff.
No clear direction in attack either.

Schoeman doesn’t strike me as a stupid player, but that was utterly brainless. He’s a lucky boy !
Those should be prerequisites for any team really. Watch Bradbury for the second try. Wasn't far off avoiding making any sort of tackle rather than having any sort of aggression about his play.Slick wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:25 pmBit of that but also that every step Glasgow take is with intent and aggressionBig D wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:21 pm No desire in defence at all from Edinburgh.

Look at that last play there. Decent hit up by Tuipulotu. Then they slow the ball down to box kick it. They are such a poorly coached team.
Gets a little over-shadowed by Tuipulotu by pundits, but when I talk to non-Jocks he's the one they talk about.Slick wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:21 pm Quite apart from the offload, Huw Jones spotted that gap as he was jogging back into position and called it to Jordan. Absolutely world class rugby player
As soon as it touches another player or the floor it’s a knock onBlackmac wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:15 pm Not sure I understand that call. If an attacking player is juggling a catch but the ball is then deliberately knocked away by a defender, where is the knock on.

This game is so uncompetitive it’s kind of dull.
Yes, but even in the case where the opposing player knocks it away??. Not something i've ever though about but just curious as it looked as if he could gather that if Steyn had not deliberately knocked it away.Slick wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:18 pmAs soon as it touches another player or the floor it’s a knock onBlackmac wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:15 pm Not sure I understand that call. It is time for all the coaches to go.Blackmac wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:19 pm Ritchie looks a broken man. That's the worry about some of our top players performing in this current Edinburgh situation.
Not one single part of Edinburghs play merits retention.
I think if the fumble was backwards then it would be an issue, but he pushed it forward whilst jugglingBlackmac wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:21 pmYes, but even in the case where the opposing player knocks it away??. He's been Edinburgh's best player today, though it's a very low bar

Feel sorry for the centres and back 3 a little. The play, control and direction from 9 and 10 has been shambolic.
Agreed, but there has been a few looks of utter despair at the dross going on around him.Tichtheid wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:24 pm

Are they good though? Or good enough. The players we know are good, Ritchie and Darcy, have been their best players today and have kept goingTichtheid wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:35 pm There's too many good players in that Edinburgh team playing awful, dull, unimaginative, lazy rugby - same old same old, but this squad is the best we've had for years

Yes they are because they all play well in a different environment - for Scotland
Venter is better than Schoeman

Feels a little of a waste to watch, an attackers training run for Glasgow

Venter with two straight up 5m taps; should never be tries. but Glasgow could afford to switch off in the final quarter.
Those two line-ups should never end up with that score - it says a lot about what Glasgow are doing right and Edinburgh doing wrong.

Bradbury should be nowhere near Edinburgh. Not in the Scotland picture, not that good for Edinburgh in his last spell. But was doing well at Bristol because he had to apply himself. A shame really.Big D wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 3:29 pmThose should be prerequisites for any team really. Watch Bradbury for the second try.
