Could we display who started the thread instead of or as well as the last poster?

The thread starter is listed under the thread title.

That’s off my iPad. iPhone doesn’t differ greatly, although due to height of screen in landscape in relation to spacing between topics/posts, I find it works better in portrait.

I’m using my iPhone and I’m not seeing anything like that.

You’re using Safari, yeah?

I tried using that, I run Firefox usually (iOS 13.5)... and I don’t get the different view. I’m still in an iPhone 6s though...

Dunno. Not the end of the world, just interesting to see the difference.

iPhone X 13.5.1 ;) I find Safari really good. Don’t bother with anything else, unless work related that only runs on Chrome, for example.

Fair enough... I’ve just been in the habit of Firefox for so long I haven’t let go of it. I also sync it so when I can get to my laptop the transition is seamless.

Safari does that too. Although you may not be running an Apple laptop.

I do. I’m pretty firmly invested in tbe Apple camp.

How’s your iPhone X? This thing is getting old and unstable, I know I’ll have to replace it sometime this year. I think I’ll go for an 11 but I’m open on that... I just want dual SIM capability.

The X is great. It’s just the first iteration and not the massive plus. Screen length isn’t far off the big boy either. Just got the new iPad Pro 11”. Now that is an awesome piece of kit.

Hmmm weird.

My phone (android using chrome & dolphin) shows last poster but my laptop (windows10 -chrome) shows the thread creator ala Bungle.

No biggie deal, I'd rather see the thread creator though.

I'm really liking this site Asmo and hope we can maintain the momentum. Old Jakey really shot himself on the foot with his latest look at me episode

I am going to have a bit of a play with wordpress, maybe create a series of pages where members can create content purely about rugby, link it from here, see how that works out, watch this space.

My preference too. Not too contrasty but also good delineation between posts, headings etc.

The current look and theme is superior to anything in that link of Torq’s, I thought he was taking the piss. Seems he was looking at differentiation and colour.

BUT, the white background is just way too bright, particularly at night. Needs to be greyed as many of us said from day one.

ASMO said he’ll have a look when he gets a chance.

Yeah, I'd be down with just toning down the background. The templates on the other link look pretty uninspiring though imo.

Whatever works though. Not going to lose any sleep over it.

I'm surprised that MBs don't have the capability for users to pick styles. The o/h is pretty much zero.

This is why I was always a fan of XML. Far better than CSS for user configurability.

Yep me too.

As an aside can you please change my name Enz? I thought I was over the name I ironically chose in 2 minutes 17 years ago but its like an old coat.

Could you please just change it to "RB"?

Cheers

Can we please turn off that "another post has been made" thing?

Really annoying particularly on a match thread where everyone is posting at once.

Can we increase posts per page? It was done prior to reinstall but not sure to how many.

I don't get that.

Is it just something you need to turn off in the control panel?

I don’t get it all the time, but the busier the thread, it would be a ballache.

When have we ever thought, someone may have posted since the last post I read. Perhaps I should see what they posted and potentially change the pithy one liner I’ve prepared here?

Ah gotcha. Ignore me.

I thought he was talking about a notification each time a post was made on a thread he'd posted on. I know there were a bunch of notification options on the control panel and thought it may have been one of them.

I know what you're talking about and do get that. I don't mind it personally as it does give you the opportunity to change the post if you were replying to the one above but too lazy to quote it. Whatever works though.
