Amazingly Ukraine appears to still have Tochka-U missile stocks. This photo is from December of a unit of the 19th Missile Brigade.

It looks as though KNDS is going to provide at least 9 Boxer RCT30 IFVs to Ukraine along with the RCH 155s. The RCT30 module variant fulfils a UAV defence role, so these may specifically operate in tandem with the RCH 155s to protect them from drones.

Middle East Eye reports that Iran, in its treaty with Russia, has refused to recognize Crimea and other occupied territories as Russian.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian leader Vladimir Putin plan to meet in Moscow on Friday to sign a strategic partnership agreement. Notably, the document does not recognize Ukraine's occupied territories as part of Russia.

Smart move from Iran to get to be taken at their word about being willing to cooperate with different people on different things. More importantly, demonstrates Putin is weaker than previously that he has to accept that.

Same old shit, pretty much a demand for surrender and wait to have another go in the future

Putin reportedly plans to demand Ukraine never join NATO and become a neutral state with a limited army during talks with Trump, per Bloomberg.

Other Russian demands are: NATO may supply Ukraine weapons but not for use against Russia or reclaiming territories and Russia seeks control of 20% of Ukraine, including Crimea, but is open to territorial swaps.

Nah, from the fresh paint I imagine they've restored decommissioned and deep storage missiles like they've done with S-200s.

And there's no sign of Russia slowing down in sacrificing it's manpower.

Perun's latest on Ukrainian equipment supply. tl;dr version is pretty straight forward, as long as supply is maintained through 2025 Ukraine is in reasonable shape. And joining the dots between different sources I'd go as far to say as long as Ukraine gets a reasonable amount of stuff, especially parts and supply for existing materiel this year, they'll be in very good shape in 2026. Their general numbers remain constant but their quality levels continue to rise while Russia's continues to nose dive.

Issues around manpower, ammo, and Ukraine legacy command style are key points not covered.

However, if the West could make some sort of push this year, Ukraine could actually win the attrition war. If the US could send in another bunch of Bradley's for example, along with parts. There really is a limit to the number of assualts Russia can make on motobikes.

A lot of differing scenarios though if US stuff is cut back. No new equipment, but continued supply of parts and ammo means one thing. Complete cut off another, and so forth.

A Russian “spy ship” was tracked closely by the Royal Navy this week after it entered UK waters on Monday and passed through the Channel at a time of heightened concern about the safety of undersea cables.

The defence secretary, John Healey, told the Commons on Tuesday that the Yantar, a Russian vessel engaged in “mapping the UK’s critical underwater infrastructure”, had passed through British waters for the second time in less than three months.

Healey accused the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, of trying to threaten European security by targeting undersea infrastructure carrying oil, gas, electricity and the internet. “We see you. We know what you’re doing,” he said before MPs.
What, practically, can be done about this? Does the RN have to shadow every single dodgy Russian boat?

As soon as they screw up you can act.
Most of these ships are known so shadowing them is the main defense. Also you may get decent intelligence if you are listening well.

One of the French navy planes was painted by the Russian's radar (s400 radar station) over the baltic sea.
Now the French navy has a lot of data on these (not the export version)
The plane in question was a maritime patrol with a shit load of sensors

Whilst it's nice that Proteus is getting a run out, all they need to do is send a couple of drones over and she'll be scuttled quicker than you can say "Moskva".

Full text for those who can't/won't access Twitter
Putin says Russia is open to negotiations on Ukraine and sees Trump’s statements about cooperation as promising. He claims Zelensky’s ban on talks with Moscow makes any negotiations illegitimate.

Also according to Putin, the Ukraine war wouldn’t have happened if Trump’s 2020 victory hadn’t been “stolen.” He describes his past relationship with Trump as businesslike yet pragmatic and trusting, adding that it would be best to meet Trump based on current realities and have a calm discussion.
This reply

"i will give you sneak peak of talks between Putin and Trump. Putin will give 2 hours lecture about Rurik and Bolik in 9 century. Trump wont listen a word and will give 2 hours lecture about how biden is evil. Both will decide nothing and lie they did everything"

That does leave on what terms

And we have a problem, Russia is unlikely to withdraw, and Ukraine (and every other nation) will know our promise to defend them even if they don't have nukes is a load of bollocks if Russia doesn't fully withdraw. I can see Trump getting Russia to pull back but keeping their 'gains', but quite reasonably we'll get some nuclear proliferation, and we'll still have the question of who pays to rebuild Ukraine and who claims what in exchange for such payment

Russian propagandists complain that the use of F-16s has begun to be recorded near the front lines. According to them, the fighters were first spotted in the Zaporizhia direction, and then in the south of the Donetsk region. It is assumed that the F-16s are not directly involved in strikes against Russian ground forces, but are covering other Ukrainian aircraft carrying out such strikes with their air-to-air missiles. In fact, everything is happening as Anders Nilsen previously assumed : at first, the F-16s will be used for relatively simpler tasks, such as covering airspace from Russian cruise missiles, and then they will move on to missions that require more experience and coordination.

And in an outcome which will shock the world to its core, Lukashenko who has clung to power in Belarus for 30 years will reappoint himself tomorrow after yet another so called "fair election".

A small update
On the published photo of a seized ship a heavily damaged anchor is visible.

Swedish prosecutors have ordered the detainment of a Malta-flagged vessel and opened an investigation into suspected “aggravated sabotage”.

The Vezhen is owned by Bulgarian shipping company Navigation Maritime Bulgare. The vessel had departed from the Russian port of Ust-Luga

One of Russia's ice breakers now has a large hole in the front, after crashing with a cargo ship. Not going to sink (maybe if hit by a big storm), but surely isn't fit for duty.

And China and India oil purchases have apparently dropped off due to the costs of transportation from sanctions.

Wonder if he's also keen to see parts of Hungary that were ceded to Romanian territory returned?

Far-right pro-Russian politician and Romanian presidential candidate Călin Georgescu stated that Ukraine is a "fictional state" and that its division among neighboring countries is only a matter of time.

While speculating about a "new division of the world," the politician openly fantasized about possible border changes and potential benefits for Romania.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned these statements, emphasizing that they are an outright display of disrespect toward Ukraine and reflect Kremlin rhetoric.

Just the one slight problem that the Russian army is currently sitting on at least 50% of those mines and untapped deposits..

It’s not an altogether silly idea in that it will bring the silly people in Republican party to the table. None of this altruistic stuff.
