Pte. N.J. Ingram, of the Perth Regiment (attached to the 11th Canadian Infantry Brigade, 5th Canadian Armoured Division) stops for a rest during the Ijsselmeer campaign, in which his regiment advanced 25 miles in three days from Arnhem to Harderwijk to cut off enemy troops in the western part of Holland during the liberation of the Netherlands. North of Arnhem, Netherlands, April 15, 1945.

Found my father's "Top Secret" debrief statement after he was released from a POW camp in 1945. In Ancestry of all fucking places.

Page 2 is more private so I left that one out. It tells the story of his capture, escape and recapture.
