Selfish SARU destroy the Rugby Championship
And if you look at a team like Sale with a few potential Boks in their team, virtually their entire squad was Covid positive a couple of weeks ago.

So after months of AC claiming that the 'NZ relies on South African TV money' is a total myth, he's now lashing out that NZR won't be viable in the future due to... no South African TV money?

I just want SA to play the games that they've committed to playing so we can receive the TV revenue that we have budgeted for. Without South Africa we have no Rugby Championship so we have no TV rights from this comp.

When you signed a contract to be part of the Rugby Championship three years ago. And when you agreed to the revised schedule after covid-19. Or have you forgotten how the SARU mocked NZR for trying to change the schedule so their players could be home by Christmas? Honest question, why did the SARU attack NZR so viciously, only to pull out of the entire comp two weeks later?Blake wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:50 amWe committed to play? The rugby Championship we are contracted to participate in takes place in July and August. Strike 1.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:54 am When you signed a contract to be part of the Rugby Championship three years ago. And when you agreed to the revised schedule after covid-19. We didn’t agree to anything. From the start it was made clear that our participation was conditional on many factors playing out just right. They didn’t. Strike 2.
Any notions that we “attacked” anybody about the schedule is nonsense. The only concern SARU raised was when the proposed match schedule was moved up, make participation even less likely that it would have been otherwise. Strike 3.

Strike 4 we share the profits (DStv the biggest contributor) if we play or not per contract.
South Africans are no longer men. You're all thinking it, I said it.
SARU could have easily sent a young Republic-based team, relatively unaffected by any COVID issues, with at least some rugby under their belts. They could then again train against each other - supposedly the hardest, most adamantine physical specimens on the rugby planet boet - for a couple of weeks in preparation for the tournament. Both the All Blacks and Wallabies were likely to have rookie squads for this tournament as well. And it's not like SARU haven't sent rookie teams travelling to Tri-Nations/RC tournaments before.
Scott Barrett played NO rugby this year, has had very little training, yet he survived half a Bledisloe yesterday. Bokke have no many pride.
Shameful cowards.

It's post-RWC, everyone's sending a development team. Or, alternatively, you could send some of your European-based Boks who have been playing as much - if not more - rugby than anyone in Australasia lately.
The Argies have it worse than you, and they're coming. Real hombres, real cajones, real amigos.
What they want is for us to send a badly under prepared team so that they can hand them a memorable hiding.sorCrer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 9:57 pmYou want us to send a development team?NotNaki wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 9:19 pm South Africans are no longer men. You're all thinking it, I said it.

Anyone who enjoys the game would want to see the best players pitted against each other rather than a weakened side playing at a considerable disadvantage.
I don't think it surprises anyone that AC is not really that kind of supporter.

Btw, well done on this thread. Whilst some of your countrymen used what has happened to troll Kiwis and Aussies, or have pretended that this is a good outcome, you've been reasonable and balanced throughout. The reality is that all four participating unions have lost with the Springboks staying home and it will take many years to earn back the tens of millions combined we have all lost.
It worries me AC....alot of the youngsters on here have no shame......but that goes for the entire generation of Millennials....they were suckled on moms tit for too long methinks....need to harden the vok up and stop being afraid of losing. You cannot win unless you take part...Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 7:20 amI will move on Sards,'Sards wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 6:23 am Move on AC...

Siding with Kiwis....dude you are vokked in the kop.
I am siding with all those supporter who still have some pride. Who are not afraid of playing and beating the ABs....unlike those too afraid to play incase they lose...ag foi tog ...arme kinders.....moet net nie hulle gevoelins seer maak nie...hou hulle vas onder ma se rok.
If you are trying to say that the Springboks are not good enough to play in the RC, then that's an entirely different matter.the cursed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 6:22 amRinkals wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 4:12 amWhat they want is for us to send a badly under prepared team so that they can hand them a memorable hiding.

If you took the side that got beaten 57-0 and deprived them of the ability to play or practice for eight months while allowing their opposition to get all the match fitness they need, I'm pretty sure the scoreline would be in triple figures.
There would probably be a lot of injuries as well, so that would be a bonus.

This is about public health and player welfare, not a bunch of dickhead fans waving their peanuts around. You've shown that you only care about money during Covid anyway.
Go join the greedy Kiwis full-time, they're welcome to you.
You do realise that your Bro has a serious vascular disease and is a very high-risk for Covid death if he catches it?? You want the Boks to tour with a new coach and without their Director of Rugby?
Oh. You don't? Well then you're in a pickle aren't you, Peanut?Nienaber we have no vokken clue about...because he is too chicken shit scared to play against the ABs and Aussies and Argentina......
