Good win! Not like Scotland to actually hang on
Yaaaaaasssssssssss
Terrific win that, particularly with no regular test starters. Hastings was normal Hastings, apart from that the backs were excellent, front row wood up really well which is encouraging, thought Masibaka looked good too. Lot of positives to take from that not least our first ever win v the Māori in NZ

Yup. Sparkling play. Entertained all the way

Yet more evidence that Hutchinson has pissed on Townsends shows at some point, class as always
To be honest I thought Turner was 50/50 good and poor - his first throws were shocking and running into players instead of space or soft shoulders is so old now, plus he got isolated
Yeah, not sure he deserves to be in the 23 ahead of PH next week. Ph had a beauty of a throw to the tail early in the second half over two pods of opposition lifters.Tichtheid wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 5:52 amSlick wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 5:46 am Christie looked great then understandably faded a bit, Turner was very good and Bayliss.

Recorded it and just watched it. Decent win, great game, but I'm astonished that no is talking about the appalling stamp on Smith's face. It's 07mins and 10 seconds into the game.
It was early, and I seem to have got Turner wrong, but I thought Hutch had some lovely touches throughout the gameGrahamWa wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 6:06 am Thought Hutchinson was anonymous until I noticed his gash cross field kick.
All the money you made will never buy back your soul
I wasn’t able to watch the game, but that’s an encouraging result. Especially when you consider how raw our forwards were in particular, and that the Maori recently spanked Japan (who of course just beat Wales). Well done, lads.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
Didnt see that first time round just saw Smith rubbing his napper after the breakdown. It looked a deliberate stamp to the head to me and pretty dangerous. Must result in a citing and some punishment?Blackmac wrote: Sat Jul 05, 2025 6:32 amRecorded it and just watched it. Overall a good result and excellent performance. Lots of new faces and new combinations yet they looked pretty organized and played well. Lots of good performances and given this was a 2nd/3rd string pretty impressive against the Maori in their own backyard.
