As the title says, who is the best impact player currently playing the game?
For me, it has to be Ellis Genge (the silly sausage). I can only imagine the depths to which the opposing front rowers' hearts sink when they see him jogging on the pitch.
Best Impact Player
Sean Cronin was always good to change the pace up front when replacing Rory Best. Used catch some teams out.

Kobus van Wyk
Great acquisition for the Canes ( I assumed he would have wanted to go back to Durban when Covid hit)

There was an England vs Italy game in the very early 2000s when England brought on, en masse, Johnson, Leonard, Dallaglio and Dawson.
It was ItalyHal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:25 am There was an England vs Italy game in the very early 2000s when England brought on, en masse, Johnson, Leonard, Dallaglio and Dawson.
But Rory is not roaring anymore.
I don't know why you're fixing on this guy, when you've got those two locks that come off the bench. The one with the wild hair, weird tatts and crazy eyes, and the other one, with more normal hair, a bit of a pretty boy giant. They're legends. I can't quite remember their names but that might be because my memory is blocking them out of fear.
I'm a bit disappointed with Snyman. He should be more forceful on the pitch given his looks. A bit of a pussy given his size.FujiKiwi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:44 amI don't know why you're fixing on this guy, when you've got those two locks that come off the bench. Think Snyman is the wild haired mountain man. Playing for Munster this seasonFujiKiwi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 10:44 amI don't know why you're fixing on this guy, when you've got those two locks that come off the bench. Ah yes. Talk about kicking them when they're down.Mr Bungle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:27 amIt was ItalyHal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:25 am There was an England vs Italy game in the very early 2000s when England brought on, en masse, Johnson, Leonard, Dallaglio and Dawson.
Etsebeth and De Jager are the starting locks. Snyman and Mostert are the replacements. Pieter-Steph du Toit is the starting blindside flank and was also world rugby player of the year last year. When Snyman arrived on the scene, I thought him and Etsebeth would make a fearsome lock pairing. Has not happened...yet. Snyman needs some Bakkies.
Yes. Right. Mostert was the name I couldn't remember. Great player. And you're underrating Snyman. I take it he's not from you Super or provincial team?Amethyst wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 11:50 amEtsebeth and De Jager are the starting locks. Snyman and Mostert are the replacements. Snyman is an excellent player but can be even better with added aggro ala Bakkies Botha. Snyman is a Bull.FujiKiwi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 11:52 amYes. Right. You genuinely think this will help? Bakkies Botha was borderline psychotic mate....Amethyst wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 11:56 amSnyman is an excellent player but can be even better with added aggro ala Bakkies Botha. I believe that all of them had captained England as well, which is probably also a record in terms of substitutions.Munch wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:06 pmFuckin' 'ell, poor bastards. I wasn't actually aware of that. The TV station should've played The Imperial March when they came onHal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:10 pmI believe that all of them had captained England as well, which is probably also a record in terms of substitutions.Munch wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:06 pmFuckin' 'ell, poor bastards.
