Jeez this is Sards level crazy. He is a decent SR level player, he might win a few caps for 2nd tier countries, but not at top tierassfly wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:06 amIf he was a different nationality he'd have 50 caps by now. We have always been blessed with depth in that jersey.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:04 am Ja he is still young and has always been very talented. We are spoiled with big nr7 flankers.
Reminds me of Jacques Burger. A proper workhorse. He even seems surprised when he scored.

Based on your last two posts, you don't seem to hold European rugby in high regard, nor the South African players who are playing there. Looking at the thread title, perhaps this isn't the best thread for you? Just a thought.Big Nipper wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:24 am Jeez this is Sards level crazy. Your Sharks bias is just ridiculous. Vermeulen was dead average for 2 seasons at the Sharks, but now he is a superstar? Get real man
Did you watch the match yesterday?Big Nipper wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:54 am Your Sharks bias is just ridiculous. Vermeulen was dead average for 2 seasons at the Sharks, but now he is a superstar? Get real man

Kolbe still scoring tries for Toulouse.
Watched a bit of Quins beating Leicester yesterday. A couple of kicking errors from AE, but he really knows how to cross the advantage line with the ball. I didn't realise that Kobus van Wyk had signed for Leicester, scored a good try.

Just seen this. Never heard of him before, but pleased to see another former Sharks player player being propelled into international rugby. I have no doubt that his formative year was in Durban in 2013 where his 2 caps for the Sharks laid the foundations for his illustrious career.

I am sure that he will be the next Matt Stevens.assfly wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:48 amJust seen this. I'd also never heard of him until Quins signed him. At the time he'd had one premiership start in two seasons with Worcester so I don't think anyone saw him as anything more than squad filler. He's clearly progressed under Gustard and Adam Jones and although I just can't see him ever getting a cap he's been decent and reliable enough. I would expect Wilko Louw to soon take over the first choice spot for Quins. Will Collier seems to have gone backwards since he had a kid.assfly wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:48 amJust seen this. Jannes Kirsten and Jacques Vermeulen are both now Premiership and European champions with Exeter.
Cobus Reinarch and Jan Serfontein also in good form by the looks of it: https://www.news24.com/sport/rugby/rein ... 4-20201026

Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
He used to have a lot of brainfarts, but also the ability to score a try out of nowhere. I think his stint up North is making him a good allround player and I think Faf, Jantjies and Reinach are our top 3 scrummies.

His game has evolved immensly the last couple of years playing in the north. He has had a run of fantastic seasons in england and seems to be playing quite well für montpellier too atm
Can't argue with that. What I quite like about them is that they are all quite different giving Rassie options. Although some of Jantjies' petulant behavior in the Pumas game was unnecessary as he had a good game.
Agreed. Jantjies is still young, but his behaviour was not good and one hopes the senior players will have a word.

You can add Nohamba to that list. He is very talented and look like a future Bok.
He has raw talent, that's for sure, it's all now about managing his future. Is he at the right union for that? I have my doubts...OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 8:50 am You can add Nohamba to that list. He is very talented and look like a future Bok.
