Another beheading in France
I actually agree with you there, or at least have some pretty hefty vetting of these funds origins, who they go to and how they are spent. Of course if you do that with one religion you must do it with all of them - cue every religion kicking up a stink. And of course its pretty easy to move money in order to have it be internal funding as opposed to external, but at least that provides opportunity to identify cells involved in illegal funding.RichieRich89 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 7:16 pm They need to stop external funding for mosques and faith schools coming in from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Christ - you a QAnon gobshite as well by any chance? I mean don't get me wrong - Obama deserves his share of criticism, but you know, the whole Iraq fiasco has played quite the more sizeable role in the refugee crisis and ISIS than Obama's massive expansion in drone killings and Libya (sizeable contributors though they may be). All people who see the world purely in terms of red or blue need to be taken out the back and shot!RichieRich89 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 7:16 pm Obama seems to receive virtually no criticism for creating the refugee crisis. Hopefully Trump will get in again and there won't be any more wars in the region for a while at least.

Yes. The way Obama pulled out rapidly from Iraq, leaving a vacuum that was filled by ISIS, was a huge factor in the refugee crisis as well. Of course, the Americans should never have been there in the first place. Bush, Blair, Cheney and Powell should all be in the Hague.PornDog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 7:49 pmI actually agree with you there, or at least have some pretty hefty vetting of these funds origins, who they go to and how they are spent. The main thing is that The US don't wade back in there, which Biden, or at least forces behind the scenes in his camp, seemingly wants to do in Syria. Trump pulled back from supporting the terrorists in Syria and allowed al-Assad, the Russians and the Kurds defeat IS.

BS
The pulled back was to allow russia to be back in this area and to control Syria and also the Turks to massacre the Kurds without any witnesses.

I don't see how you can fault Obama, he campaigned on bringing the troops back from Iraq so that's what he did. He beat war hero, hawk McCain precisely because American voters were tired of the war in the middle east and did not want another warmonger stirring up a hornets nest.

So is Christianity if you only measure it by the actions of those on the fringes.

One of the worst thing I hate about you Chicken Runners is that you refuse to admit or even acknowledge the genocide being carried against your own people right this very minute. Do you know why that is? - You're cowards of the very worst kind.

To be fair Dac, you’ve arrived in two footed challenge with some fairly forthright and dare I say it, extremely controversial posts. If you’re going to steam in and go off in the same way you left off on PR then why would you expect anything different here?
Can’t imagine why DAC struggles to make friends here.DAC wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 8:17 am One of the worst thing I hate about you Chicken Runners is that you refuse to admit or even acknowledge the genocide being carried against your own people right this very minute. Might I suggest an IP ban too. Best solution for his own mental health.

Muslims were protesting outside the French embassy in London today.
The level of narcissism that these religious fanatics display is quite something to behold. One of their nutters beheads someone in the place of worship for another religion yet they are the ones protesting as if they are the victims.
It is the mentality of a four year old child who thinks that the world revolves around them and that everyone else should accommodate them and their feelings. Then when they don't get their way they throw a temper tantrum and throw their toys out of the pram. Its pathetic.

I am barely on the bored these days so haven't seen these 'racist talking points'. if you are referring to his fears re Islam frankly we should all be concerned about that.

The way these fundamentalists think, they'd probably be complicit in the showing of the cartoons (and thus likely to be punished by Allah) if they don't try to actively oppose those who produce them.Hugo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 10:12 pm Muslims were protesting outside the French embassy in London today.

It's not a Catch 22. There is a solution. Don't project Charlie Hebdo cartoons on buildings would be a great start, ffs.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:33 am Did anyone catch last week those two towns projecting the Mo cartoons against municipal buildings? Sparked some heated debate in various corners of the internet, unsurprisingly.
On the one hand, yes, it is provocative and would stir up further hostility from the Muslim community liek this horrendous incident. On the other, if you don't do it or something else to reinforce that anyone has the right to depict the prophet, whether it's in an educational context as with the teacher or straight up wanting to be offensive for the sake of it, then the extremists win. Yet if you take the course to assert the rights and secularism of France it gets construed as attacking Islam and helps the extremist recruiters. Every action that is perceived to encroach upon Islam fuels actions that will encourage greater state intervention and resentment of the French public towards their Islamic citizens (regardless of whether they're Islamists or not), yet the state cannot simply turn the other cheek. To do so would be a dereliction of duty to the populous.
It's a vicious Catch 22 to which I see no solution.
France. What a bunch of idiots.

Can you confirm sock's claim two towns projected Charlie Hebdo cartoons on their buildings, presumably as a form of misguided patriotism?
Perhaps France might like to look at the people who make up the country and recognise them, instead of forcing everyone to adhere to their bizarre confrontational secular ideology.

It is distressing yes, but people are being murdered at a higher rate in Cape Town and the ganglands of Port Elizabeth.
