I mean, there's some people, not me you understand, no sir, who think that the whole Covid-19 saga has been engineered to implement the Great Reset.
Which, if you read into it is actually Communism for poor people and a much better standard of living for the already wealthy.

Honestly don't have time to do a deep dive right this sec but on a quick glance is this "the world's problems would be solved if we just got rid of borders and had more diversity?" type approach?
Rather than a "great reset" I think we need a "great pause", the speed of change in the world is too fast for us to contemplate the consequences let alone be in a position to deal with them.

When you get 5 have a bit of a dive. Then catch your breath and let me know what you think.Hugo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 4:47 pm Honestly don't have time to do a deep dive right this sec but on a quick glance is this "the world's problems would be solved if we just got rid of borders and had more diversity?" type approach?

My bad - managed to completely mis-read my very shallow glance... this is an awful idea, I hate it. Boooooo.

TBH, it's not just ASMO that regulates this site. And, we couldn't be arsed to delete this account to a time schedule. If you want it deleted, tough tits, just forget your own password in future.

A woman in a cafe tried to give me a leaflet about this. Took her less than 20 seconds to blame it on the Jews.
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember with advantages, What feats he did that day
Interesting since 1 of the featured "thought leaders" is Benjamin Netanyahu. When I saw his name & that of Paul Kagame show up prominently I just laughed.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 6:24 am A woman in a cafe tried to give me a leaflet about this. The Great Reset - how to win power & hang onto it indefinitely in otherwise democratic countries.
Looking into this a wee bit, the GR was covered at Davos in January.
Looks like Klaus Schwab is advocating that neoliberalism has failed/run its course and that it needs to be replaced by something that prioritises protecting the environment, long term sustainability over short term profits and such. Then there's the usual SJW buzzwords - equity, inclusion etc thrown in there. It seems like most of Klaus' thinking on this is covered in his book 4th industrial revolution.
On the face of it the COVID lockdown is presented as a gilt edged opportunity to fix some of the global problems in our world but the idea of unelected elites charting out a course of action for humanity makes me feel very uneasy. There's a really good book that talks about the agenda of the Davos set/global elite called "Global class war" by Jeff Faux and it paints an unflattering picture of their motivations.

Is this one of those things that is really interesting for three minutes...and then the rich and powerful get everything?
