Having just watched the replay it is easy to reflect upon a couple of factors:
First, the ABs were walking very early on, so maybe they had a quiet week with the travel and hadn't done a lot.
Then, because of that, yes they were passive and missed a lot of first up tackles.
Third. they gave up a lot of 'easy' meters with poor positional play.
Fourth: BB had a poor game in most respects, but it's not easy to change from 15 to 10. Nor did Jordie look convincing at 15 from 14, while Reiko looked to be playing further infield the whole game.
Fifth: The reds were correct, under the laws as they are.
Sixth: You cannot legislate for dumbfuckery! Reece twice in a minute for the same thing, and ScoBa late in the game when the ball was gone. Incidentally, the latter is looking very much the recidivist.
Seventh: Foster, in all respects, must take this one on the chin himself. How many elite sports teams can make so many personnel, and positional changes, and not expect to get done?
As CC has said... if Foster doesn't learn, and learn quickly, not to be so profligate with the jersey, it's gonna be a long four years.

The only things I can see being the point of that many changes is either, we need to give everyone games, or we don't have many tests this year so need to see as many players as possible.

Apart from obviously making it more likely that you drop tests I don't see what you can learn about players throwing them into such a disjointed team

IMO they were warranted. Player welfare is crucial. I think the main problem is that it doesn't have to destroy a game. E.g. A red card could be the player is taken off the game, but can be replaced by a bench player after 10 minutes, along with a further match missed and review for further penalty to the player. It makes no sense to me that the same offence in the first few minutes of a test vs towards the end of the game should have such a dramatic difference with regards to the cost to the team.
understand where you are coming from but I have always been in the "can't do the time, don't do the crime" arena

you sound like a referee who is also a policeman. ..on the other hand Ben O'Keefe's motto is I can't see the crime, you don't do the time.

Exactly

People calling for Will Jordan to start ahead of veterans should be eating their words. BB or JB shouldn't feel at all worried by this Johnny come lately.

International rugby separates the men from the boys.

And let's all be honest, if Sam Cane went for the post at halftime instead of the lineout we could be talking a close all black win here.
Wanker
Absolute wanker. If Cane had been pinged for detaching from the scrum when he intercepted the pass well past the Wallaby scrum shortly before the ABs kicked a penalty then.........well that would have been a 6 point swing.
If my sister was a bloke she would be my brother.
