Russell somehow manages to stack it into the wall under a safety car. And not to be outdone, Stroll tries to run over the jack man in the pits.

And Albon gives further credence to the Uber theory by spinning it at the restart. That must surely be his career at Red Bull in the bin. Get Perez or Gasly back into it.

I'm guessing that's Alex Albon, the 'Thai driver' done.

Russell 😳 never mind mate, we all do that, just give thanks you're not the Thai guy.

That VSC for Hamilton was perfect. Started as he gets to the end of the lap, finishes as he exists the pits. Couldn't have been better if Totto had orchestrated it himself.

Horner will be trying his darndest to blame that on Renault, sorry I mean Honda, ups, no I meant Pirelli.

Good job Seb but we can't have that, oops our bad, love Ferrari.

another cracker from Lance "Whos my daddy" Stroll

Decently entertaining enough race, all considered.

My not informed opinion...

* Kimi really did well today and got deserved points.
* Happy the Ric got the podium, but if I am Perez I am pissed...should have been him
* Kyvat really raced well
* Mags had a good race for awhile
* Bottas, hard luck...but Hamilton went for it and was the deserved winner
* Russell...Albon...WTF
* Hard luck to Max...really coming on when it went out
* And Vettel has no luck whatsoever...what a crap stop

Constructor standings for 3rd...separated by one point...Renault 135, MClaren, Racing at 134

And the Ric and Hamilton shooey :clap: :thumbup:

Aside from that mad last 15 or so laps, it was a fairly dull race I thought. Had the prospect of an early season procession until it all went pear shaped with a couple of spins or breakdowns.

A pretty dull race interspersed with some pretty spectacular fuck ups from Ferrari, Albon, Russel and John Elkann's wardrobe

Verstappen really has no luck at all

Yes, a wonderful track to drive and as a long-time F1 fan Imola holds great memories for me, though although some not so great. RIP Ayrton. It doesn’t work for F1 anymore though. Without DRS it would be a procession.

Not the greatest of races tbf, but it was another example of just how good Hamilton. He hangs his tyres out for 10 laos longer than his teammate and his closest competition; he gets the VSC that nails it, bu then after the full safety he pulls away from Bottas as if he's not even trying. It's scary just how easy he makes this look sometimes

To be fair to Bottas, his car had damage from lap 2 so he did pretty well given that.

Very green track this morning. proper like driving on ice, they're all over the place.

I'm guessing one of the W series feature races on the F1 calendar next year won't be help @ Saudi GP?

What creative way will George Russel come up with to miss out on scoring his first point this time? :think:

It;s looking like Tyre choice could be awkward. The softs currently look useless - not providing particulalry good lap times, nor any real life, and the hards look slow. But the teams only have 3 sets of mediums for the whole weekend.

Meh, they say that every Friday afternoon; then on Sunday tyres are the usually unimportant for most teams.

Very wet now in P3, plus the grease from the new surface making it extremely slippy out there. Qualifying will be very damp at minimum. Going to be fun

Kimi on if, in his entire F1 career, he’d ever experienced conditions as bad as Q1.

“Only once,” he said. “This morning.”

Last years Mercedes works the tyres much more than this years.

Sets us up for a great race tomorrow, especially as tomorrow's forecast is effectively the samd as today.

It will kill the race if it’s as wet as that. A near constant procession of Safety Cars. Hopefully the conditions will allow proper racing from the well mixed-up grid, in which case it’s definitely one to look forward to. :thumbup:

I think a bookie would give you decent odds that Stroll doesn't make it around the first lap tomorrow.
