France aren't even playing that well. Still lots of errors that won't happen with their first choice players. More scared of France than England

Fre commentary suggesting Eddie might want to consider changing his tactics
The media talked about Cipriani too much. Farrell is Eddie's double-down spite selection.Lemoentjie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:47 pm Why do England play Farrell? He is not a very good player, except for decent place kicking. His defence is terrible (justice for Esterhuizen) and he can't direct an attack, and has no flair or vision. Do England need him because there is no other competent place kicker?

You are very wrong. Other than a few dim pens and the screw up clearing direct into touch, they've been excellent IMHO.Lemoentjie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:58 pm France aren't even playing that well. Youngs is a problem but I'm not going to pretend we've not managed some great attacking rugby with him on the field.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:55 pmStill doesn't answer the SH question. And Daley at FB....
And Daly's problems are not in attack.

Depends if you count excellence as reducing errors or playing amazing rugby. They've been very competent, but I wouldn't say brilliantTorquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 2:59 pmYou are very wrong. Farrell
Even if we'd been under penalty advantage that was unnecessary.

Er, not sure those subs are going to do much when one of our key play and decision makers is obsessed with kicking the ball...

FFS Geraci. No arms and offside. I assumed he'd been done for the no arms but it was missed by ref.

Has Daly ever broken the gain line when bringing it from deep?
That try against Wales a few years ago, against CuthbertHal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:09 pm Has Daly ever broken the gain line when bringing it from deep?

This is a BAD substitution. Wrecks the midfield defence.

Few back three players ever do. Running it back into traffic like that is purely to get closer to your forwards for recycling purposes as far as I can tell. Oh for the days of them streaking off wide and expecting support to keep up.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:09 pm Has Daly ever broken the gain line when bringing it from deep?

No, he was running onto a pass, I'm talking about the basic full back skill of making meaningful yards past the chasing line of defenders. Edit: Even with strength if not speed or footwork.ASMO wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:10 pmThat try against Wales a few years ago, against CuthbertHal Jordan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:09 pm Has Daly ever broken the gain line when bringing it from deep?

Hey Mandalorianne: I can tell you that Carbonel would never pass a ball like that.
Cheers, found a no-vpn-required France 2 source.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:05 pmFree in France

Should pull Tolofua and Jalibert now and bring in Macalou and Carbonel and go for the game.
