TRP saying the Os will also sign young Knott from the turks too. I imagine the ridiculous salaries of these bare average buy ins are leaving a sour taste in the mouths of the home guys

It's that time of the year when we speculate who comes in to the 6N squad.

Dan Evans, some random Ospreys hooker, Hewitt, Randall (Can't stand to see Youngs get 200 caps) are my guess that won't happen.

Sad chunt. More concerned about hating the Scarlets, than loving the Blues. You'd do well over here as a Trumpist. #Thefliar

WOL suggesting Cardiff are looking to pinch Screech...not sure it makes a huge amount of sense for him as he wouldn't be a first team player for most of the time, behind Hill and Seb Davies, but if the price is right I guess he might well go. Makes it more urgent that we bring in Rowlands and another lock on top of that. Mind you, I'm sure Cardiff fans would rather spend more than the £130k quoted for Screech and try and get Rowlands themselves.

Nah, we'll take Screech. Rowlands is a big fat lump ok but certainly not worth a huge wedge

If you take Screech but we get Rowlands and some half decent NWQ lock I'd consider that acceptable. With Carter coming through at a rate of knots, we still need to be able to demote guys like Joe Davies and Maksyimw to squad players rather than regular first teamers.

Rowlands would come with 80% written off mind. However, on inspection I think our locks now rate Murphy>Thornton>Seb>Ratti>HIll based on performances this year. With Teddy Williams showing all the signs of being what we hoped, I can't see the logic behind signing either. We can always play Moore if we have too

WOL saying Pivac is looking at Priestland for the Six Nations squad...FFS. 34 years old, and picking him would mean no place for Evans again I would imagine. What would be the fucking point of that?!?!

If that's true with Biggar, Sheedy and Priest our FH picks then Pivac can go fudge himself more than usual.

Hopefully just WOL page filler nonsense.

I don't see how anyone could look at Jarrod Evans and not think that he's a potential diamond.

Given Pivac has already done this, its not beyond the realms of possibility for it to be again. If there's an opportunity to get a scarlet in the team, he'll do it. i don't understand the clamour with Priestland, the Bath forum has found him as useless as hes always been since he arrived there.
Whether just being named is enough I don't know, Jarrod clearly the best 10 available, by a large margin, He's got £400k+, maybe £500k value, he can only sit on hope for so long

At least we know he won't select Steff.

Recalls for Lydiate , Dr Jaw and Priestland to recreate 2011 all over again

We can almost make a team from players still playing who were in the 2011 WC squad;

Bevington (I know, not even sure if he's retired, even as a Dragons fan), Owens, Craig Mitchell (still going at Cornish Pirates apparently), Bradley Davies, Alun Wyn, Lydiate, Tips (preliminary WC squad), Faletau, Lloyd Williams, Priestland, Roberts, Jonathan Davies, North and Scott Williams on the wings, Halfpenny at 15.

Shows how young that team was that so many are still going 10 years on.

Lydiate? He is playing well but FFS. Rhodri Jones over Nicky Smith?

Surprised not see Parry there. Or Lewis-Hughes. No Ioan Lloyd is understandable but still a bit disappointing.

Nicky Smith injured so that explains that. Pivac mentioned Gareth Thomas and Domachowski also being in contention.

That squad is shite. WTF is Hardy doing there?

Our props are dicey and our best can't get a start with his club.

Pivac to be gone by the end of this and write off another Scarlets cluster

A bit of a letdown to be honest. Why no Willgriff John? Why is Ball there when he’s off back to OZ (in no way am I blaming him for that). Why no Ioan Lloyd whose been playing pretty well for Bristol. Why 33 year old Lydiate instead of someone like Shane Lewis-Hughes.

I’m disappointed Randall’s not in the squad. Maybe he has said no rather than Pivac preferring Hardy.

I can see this 6N going well. I’m hoping the WRU will see sense and get rid of it doesn’t but I’m very nervous they won’t.

For all those bold, there's better players not selected, or better players who've actually played in the last 3 months.
God knows what anyone has ever seen in Hardy, but if Davies is your bar, a SH who can pass off their left hand will look like Aaron Smith I guess

Scarlets: Leigh Halfpenny; Johnny McNicholl, Jonathan Davies (capt), Johnny Williams, Steff Evans; Dan Jones, Gareth Davies; Wyn Jones, Ryan Elias, Javan Sebastian, Jake Ball, Sam Lousi, Blade Thomson, Ed Kennedy, Sione Kalamafoni.

Replacements: Ken Owens, Phil Price, Werner Kruger, Tevita Ratuva, Uzair Cassiem, Kieran Hardy, Angus O’Brien, Steff Hughes.

Cardiff Blues : Matthew Morgan; Josh Adams, Rey Lee-Lo, Willis Halaholo, Hallam Amos; Jarrod Evans, Tomos Williams; Corey Domachowski, Liam Belcher, Dmitri Arhip, Seb Davies, Cory Hill (capt), Josh Turnbull, James Botham, Alun Lawrence.

Replacements: Kristian Dacey, Rhys Carré, Dillon Lewis, Rory Thornton, Josh Navidi, Lloyd Williams, Ben Thomas, Aled Summerhill.
Good to see Ken and Josh Navidi back. Two good looking sides...plenty of ability to beat a man on show. Hopefully it stays dry(ish) and we get a good game.

Well if Owens doesn't get stretchered off then he plays in our 1st game. Surprised Johnny Mac hasn't been selected for the 6N squad as well.

Nipper at 15 is an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully Javan can give us the usual 6 pens a game he gives away.

Looking at the Wales squad, it's a shame Matt Protheroe hasn't been picked.

Jonny Williams finally living up to the hype. Not on Willis' level but worth mentioning for once.

Jonny Mac is by some distance, the turks best back for attacking

So the Scarlets backs could be providing Wales' 1st choice 9, 12, 13 and 15. Jesus wept they were awful. The average Kiwi poach was way better. Willis and him should be in the squad.

Tomos is head and shoulders our best 9 and Amos looks like a player who if was faster would be wonderful.

And wing, if avaliable you know Ballsac would have sanjay starting too.

Any idea on how many years Davies has to go before it stops being returning from injury to he's just shit?

Its not very hard to pick a Wales team without any Scarlets players, I think they've the least crucial players of any region at this point.
Amos is a fine FB, corner flags everywhere shudder when he takes the field, he, Adams, Lane and LRZ make a fine pool over the next two RWCs
