As an Ireland fan, I know the goal is always to win, but playing an all Leinster backline does nothing for us moving towards 2023.

So far, good Garbisi which is fun...

So far predictable, Italy huff and puff with no final product, Ireland wait for Italy to fuck up and score without having to make any effort to do so.

After 4/5 phases I can’t help but feel Italy would be better off sticking up a garryowen

WTF is Raynal doing? Or not? Irish Olympic diving comp at the ruck? This is what encourages defenders to commit acts of dangerous play.

Yup, repeatedly joining rucks from the side is really noticeable

Kelleher's and Keenan's eyes are uncomfortably close together. Bordeline cyclops.

Diving over the top. Not supporting own weight. Hopeless officiating. But it's Italy who were going to lose anyway, so no need to apply the laws, right?

It does feel like that. Scotland used to suffer the same fate when we were really rubbish.

Italy are like my school team, 10 or 11 really decent players and 4 or 5 hopeless ones who drag the team down.

Not sure they are as bad as hopeless but they have some real thickies. Way too many dim pens.

Italy are subject to the nonsense reffing you see tier 2 teams subjected to at the world cup. Fascinated to know how and why it happens.

Have to say I’ve been thoroughly bored by this game, not something that happens too often for me and rugby but this is hardly watchable.

Agree with all of that.

Ireland are by a distance the dullest of the Tier 1 teams to watch as a neutral

3rd'd. All interest in a game as poor as this is lost when the ref and the weaker team conspire to make it a certain hammering early on.

I panicked for a moment when I saw Wales:England 16:45 on the BBC page. Maybe I should nip out to the bookies.
