The Official Scottish Rugby Thread
You say that, but the evidence doesn’t bear it out. I’ve been here for 12 years, and Wales playing rugby is the only thing that reliably clears our ED. While the game is on anyway!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I don't think it has been that headless.it has been pretty open, but considering Italy have missed 4million tackles it will look a bit more headless than it has been because there will be bodies everywhere.
Yeah that Johnson pass to Graham being a prime example.

Yes, never really noticed that before. Still, he is playing beautifully apart from that

Maybe I don’t mean headless, perhaps less accurate than it could be? I think with Finn or Hastings it would be getting mixed up a bit more. Not a criticism of Hogg for avoidance of doubt

There is definitely a lack of accuracy. The two centres have thrown a few wobbly ones.Slick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 2:56 pmMaybe I don’t mean headless, perhaps less accurate than it could be? Get to half time and take a breath I think. It was always going to be a little breathless.
I don't understand the application of advantage anymore. The ref is pulling offences back 30-40m sometimes.
TBH, only a win of this size was going to be acceptable after the way the last two games have gone, and they’ve done the business after a shaky start. So well done. I’m still at work and won’t get to watch until later, so did we learn anything new, apart from that Italy are poor and Hogg isn’t a 10?

Johnson, Jones and Steele had good games. I liked Craig when he came on. Cherry was excellentYr Alban wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 4:16 pmTBH, only a win of this size was going to be acceptable after the way the last two games have gone, and they’ve done the business after a shaky start. Hopefully Barclay gives Guscott what he deserves when BBC goes off air - what the fuck is Guscott doing at Scotland matches?

Hard to be anything but pleased with that, an excellent performance and all players get strong pass marks. Special mentions for Watson (as always), Jones, Duhan, both Fagersons and Cherry.
I thought Richie turned up with some excellent carries on the wings, he’s actually pretty fast when he gets going. Gilchrist was also good, he made good ground in the tight carries.
I felt there was a little over exuberance in attack at times where structure would have won out, but that’s knit picking.
