Good point about the plunderibility of the newer models than the T-62s; & it leads into why the T-62s they did reactivate, 30% of them were destroyed in days, & the Orcs were giving them to the cannon fodder in the DPR.
The T-62s don't have the more modern fire control systems, (i.e the electronics & optics that get nicked), but that makes them much harder to put a raw crew into, & expect them to do anything but die horribly, because firing accurately is much harder in an older tank, & doing so on the move is just impossible, & sitting still will make you a sitting duck of Anti-tank missiles.
The Ukrainian defenders have more Anti-Tank munitions, than the Russians have tanks, & Russians are activating museum pieces to provide more targets, to get them to waste them, on tanks that couldn't hit them if they tried.

Helpful source relating to RU senior officer deaths, 2 already confirmed today though there can be quite a delay between the date of death and confirmation
294 Senior officer deaths registered. Average time between Senior Officer deaths this month: 22.84 HOURS
Another of those UA Intelligence intercepted calls on unencrypted phone line in Ukraine from Russian soldiers
"Can’t talk about this on an unsecured line, our conversation may be monitored"
200 is code for "dead body" so 12 deaths

The Germans have provided SMArt 155 anti-armour ammo with the PzH 2000s. Nasty little bastards.

I am reading a worrying report that Erdogan could be preparing military action against Armenia or the Rojava state in Syria. There are rumors that Sweden and Finland 's inclusion into NATO may have been exchanged for Rojava...

There will be no Turkish military action against Armenia. In fact, the two countries have been working to improve their diplomatic relations recently.
There is quite likely to be some further Turkish action in Syria but that was always going to be the case, regardless of the NATO negotiations. Turkey as a state will basically never tolerate a PKK-linked enclave on its borders and has been signalling domestically about military action for ages. The only issue is the timing (Erdogan will want to do it in the lead up to the next election) and getting agreement from Russia and Iran first.

Haven't seen confirmation anywhere (not surprising) but apparently Mesko in Poland has upscaled to wartime production levels, running 3 shifts 24/7, and is managing to pump out 4k 152mm shells a day.

Another intercepted call from a rather fed up Russian
and from same source
Igor Girkin posts on 12 July a rather uneventful update to the situation on the frontlines in Ukraine. According to him, the operational pause of the Russian forces continues (this claim is challenged by Ukraine), and a number of artillery and missile skirmishes is taking place.
Nothing new at the frontline. The operational pause continues. Which does not exclude the artillery and missile strike exchanges. Our aviation and missile forces are trying to “take revenge” for recent high-profile strikes of our rear facilities. Today Ukrainians were hit a lot, and in many places. Sadly I do not have data on the effectiveness of these strikes but they likely inflict serious losses on the enemy.
In return, UAF dealt another blow with HIMARS, this time at the ammunition cache at the DZTO plant in the Petrovskyi district of Donetsk.
Once again they hit.
At Sloviansk, Seversk and Soledar directions our forces (according to numerous reports from open sources – the “title violin”* is played by “Wagner” at Soledar and Artyomovsk**) continue pressing the UAF. The enemy, in turn, is covering themselves with formations of own “mobiks”***, while professional and the most combat-ready forces are placed in the areas of the most dense residential build-up, where the main defence line is being prepared.
In the nearest future I’m still not expecting any significant successes in the Donbas. If it is exactly here where the main offensive actions of RF AF will be continued, they will once again come down to slow and bloody (for both sides) “gnawing” through the positions prepared in advance. Which in my view is beneficial for the enemy too (since at the moment they have a much larger human resource, and soon the weapons will come in abundance).
I currently have no information on any changes in the front line outside the Donbas.
*Wagner PMC is sometimes referred to as “musicians”
Seeing reports that some Belarusian border guards have defected to Ukraine and joined Belarusian units.

Two attempted to cross the border and were fired up from the Belarus side, one survived the crossing but the other's fate is unknown (assuming it's the same story )

Rumours of another launched attack in occupied Kherson Oblast too, this time to the SW of the city a long distance from the front line on an old airfield being used to base helicopters, explosions reported by social media users. Have to await more news on that

Russian Parliament holding an Extraordinary session tomorrow (15th), plenty of speculation about what this means - anything from a False Flag op today in Kherson to declaration of war and mobilization, but we've been through these a few times before with it all being just rumours. Also that Russia is still striving to get Belarus Forces actively involved knowing they are likely to be defeated in order to turn Belarus population opinion against Ukraine and more pro Russia.
After the "operational pause" the offensive could well be intensified again, at least as far the depletion of munition from UA operations allows. A few SU-25s arrived at an airbase in Crimea.
And as I type this, an update
According to the Institute for the Study of War, #Putin has ordered all 85 administrative regions, including those in occupied #Ukraine, to each supply at least one "volunteer battalion" for the war in Ukraine. That is at least 85 additional battalions.

He's trying absolutely everything he can to avoid mobilisation.
