If he hasn't been grilled on it yet, expect him to use the line he used when Joe mentioned injecting bleach: "I was being sarcastic."Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 7:55 am Trump calls on white supremacist cunts to be ready. Jesus, that is basic fascist state shit right there.
That'd have been an excellent moment to go for the jugular with something like "Wait. You were joking about a deadly virus when x amount of people had died?"
I don't know Biden's political history at all, but either he's weak at debates or was so flustered / shocked at how shambolic it was that he kept stumbling? I wondered several times has his people not trained him for this? Does he not practice oration?
Republican pollster Frank Luntz convened a focus group of 16 purportedly undecided voters from swing states, and in general they had kinder things to say about Biden’s performance than Trump’s.
Asked to describe Trump in one word or phrase, the responses were: “horrid,” “chaotic,” “unpolished,” “crackhead,” “ehh,” “puzzling,” “un-American,” “unhinged,” “an ass, but a confident ass,” “classic Trump,” “forceful,” “unhinged,” “bully,” “arrogant,” arrogant,” “typical.”
Then, asked to describe Biden, the responses were: “I was surprised at how well he did,” “better than expected,” “definitely more professional than Trump and I think he’s more a people person,” “competent,” “politician,” “showed restraint and compassion,” “politician,” “predictable,” “nice guy but lacking vision,” “coherent,” “leader,” “attentive and rehearsed,” “somewhat evasive,” “humanity and integrity,” “predictable,” “presidential.”

The Dems are not the nasty types. Their attitude is "They go low we go high." It means they can't win a shitfight.
Prime example, the Lincoln Project run by Republicans are doing a better job attacking Trump than the Biden campaign.

This wasn't a debate. flinging shit and lies to sabotage the debate, because by any measure in the cold light of day, Trump's record is appalling and a rational discussion of it doesn't appeal to his base, who just want to own the libs etc, nor to floating voters who might (for some reason beyond comprehension) be persuaded to give him another try, since a rational discussion will offer no reasons to do so.
No way can you deal with the Gish Gallop of crap that flows out of Trump's mouth under those circumstances, irrespective of your ability to debate.
For Trump, it's all about stopping people from voting and removing legitimacy from the election process so he can hang on.
Trump either wins the election or goes to jail along with his family of crooks and a significant number of his supporters. There are others for whom he has a large amount of dirt on who will also be very very worried. They will do anything to win the election or stay in power even if they lose the vote. This will get crazy, far crazier than it is now. I just hope there is a group of 4 Star Generals getting organised to walk him and his KKK nazi militia out of the WH when he loses the vote. Remember most tyrants like Trump usually have a very, very bad ending and it usually ends up very messy. Also it is usually the cover up not the original crimes that get the man so it looks like, as per other mobsters, the tax evasion will be the one that nails him.
If he actually wins the vote then god help us all ....

It'll be the Secret Service doing the walking; & after 4 years of dealing with this piece of shit & the rest of his odious family; I think they'll take great enjoyment out of dragging him out by the hair, & going down every step they can find along the way.dpedin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 1:58 pm Trump either wins the election or goes to jail along with his family of crooks and a significant number of his supporters. Sort of like the Russian dilemma. The oligarchs are terrified of giving up power because they know that there'll be A LOT of vengeful judges. What the Russians really need is an amnesty, for a transition to democracy. Trump on the other hand...dpedin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 1:58 pm Trump either wins the election or goes to jail along with his family of crooks and a significant number of his supporters. Finally watched some of this. Bidne did well when he simply didn't engage Trump in the shitstorm. He simply isn't load or brash enough to take Trump on at his won game, and I'm not sure anyone is - maybe Clinton or Obama would have had a chance, but you have to be able to think seriously quickly on your feet to be able to turn the crap around at the rate Trump throws it. Trump's goal was completely clear and that was to get Biden emotional and to engage. For me the closest moment was when Trump went after Beau and Hunter like that. You could see Biden lost it for a moment, but then he caught himself.Hal Jordan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 12:15 pmThis wasn't a debate. Trump's really big problem is that he set the bar so low for Biden that unless he does lose it, he clears it by a mile. It's a strange strategy, trying to claim that an ex-Senator, ex-VP, isn't at least a competent debater.
Even Trump supporters are reacting negatively to his shitting on Biden's sons right in front of him. It was a horrendous look. Perhaps his lowest moment in any debate, and I still remember literally burying my head in my hands when he brought up the size of his cock in one of the GOP debates last time around.
But apparently it's still a close race.
What does that tell you about morality in general?
Bunch of closet racists.
Does this mean that those who claim not to be Trump supporters, but cannot bring themselves to vote for Biden might be coming round?Fonz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:08 am Even Trump supporters are reacting negatively to his shitting on Biden's sons right in front of him. The BBC is talking of the organisers of the debates having a mute button to switch off one or the other in case of transgressions, but I suspect that would play directly into Trump's short-fingered hands.
BIden's response was superb, talking directly to the American people about the horror of abuse addiction.Fonz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:08 am Even Trump supporters are reacting negatively to his shitting on Biden's sons right in front of him. The little time I spent in the US gave me the impression that he just reflects the average American male.
There was an American guy on C4 news last night interviewed about the debate. He said Trump was terrible, it made him uncomfortable, it was embarrassing for America etc etc.
"who will you vote for?" - Trump
All the money you made will never buy back your soul
I don't think it does. At least, not in the way that you mean.
People might not approve of his behaviour, but might approve of his policies in terms of closing borders to immigrants, protecting the heritage of Confederate States and removing legislation to protect the environment or worker's rights, or may feel that he would push through anti-abortion legislation or a schools' curriculum more closely aligned to Christian religious edicts with less emphasis on science.
You and I might disagree with these objectives, but that doesn't mean that they are invalid. We may feel that, far from Making America Great Again, Trump has diminished America in the eyes of the rest of the World and actually reduced America to an irrelevance in terms of their standing in the World.
There is also a fundamental dislike of and antipathy for "socialism" (although I doubt that there is widespread understanding of the meaning of the word) and there is a suggestion that Biden would be unable to complete his term with the result that an unelected left-wing liberal (a member of "The Squad" for instance) could conceivably take over and take away their guns, instigate universal healthcare or other equally desipcable acts.
In other words: Trump might be bad, but Biden is worse.
Rinky mate, this has been explained to you: moving away from one candidate does not mean you're moving towards the other. Expressing doubts about one is not the same as expressing support for the other, either.Rinkals wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 7:13 amDoes this mean that those who claim not to be Trump supporters, but cannot bring themselves to vote for Biden might be coming round?Fonz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:08 am Even Trump supporters are reacting negatively to his shitting on Biden's sons right in front of him. Then the Debate organizers need to tell him that it's their way, or the highway. He agreed to the conditions of the debates, & then pissed all over them.
Either he complies with the new conditions, or Biden gets a free platform to tens of millions of Americans, & there's an empty lectern to respond.
An attention whore, & gutless coward like the shitgibbon will fold if the he's forced to comply, or lose the platform.
