This might come as a surprise to you but you can just as easily end a fight with a solid punch to the solar plexus or ribs, if not easier. Bigger target, makes it easier to hit than a moving head, same applies to shooting, you aim for the chest. Anyways, there is no scenario where I leave my kids alone to fend for themselves at that age. I can just imagine what went through the poor boys mind when you were "teaching" him to defend the family.Sards wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 10:41 amI have taught my boy from a very early age that hitting anywhere else but the face is counterproductive. In the face the fight ends. Anywhere else just prolongs a fight . Where would you advise your kid to shoot. Lets have a scenario where you and your wife are away from your children and an attacker comes into the house and your 13 year old son is all that stands between your 2 children . Tell him to shoot in the leg .......nah vok. Shoot or hit to do the most damage china. I can assure you that an attacker will not have compassion for your children.average joe wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:56 amJa, sure people experience things differently. Fear is a strange thing, I mean here we have Sards far removed from the thick of things telling his boy to " shoot them in da face" and in another part of the country you've got a guy driving past protesters giving them the finger.assfly wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:03 am
You're probably right, but been chatting all morning to friends and family and they're all experiencing it at different levels.
I once saw a big load mouth tough guy jump up on a table screaming like a little girl, sharted in is pants because of a spider the size of an ant.

Dude...its got 8 shots and if he holds in the trigger it just keeps firing. Spare mags ready and easy to load. The perp will be coming upstairs. Head shot is best at that angle. Noone is getting cute. He has shot the gun on many occasions and is a good shot. This weekend we will have some practice again. I never have him responsibility on loading and breaking the gun before. This was the first time.Blake wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 2:35 pmThis.average joe wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:29 am This might come as a surprise to you but you can just as easily end a fight with a solid punch to the solar plexus or ribs, if not easier. For an inexperienced marksman, you always aim for "center mass". You will be shaking from adrenaline and your chances of getting a headshot are so small; am for the center of the target where you have the best chance of hitting something. When you are experienced, then you can try and get cute.

Actually I wasn't very specific. I don't just want a head shot. I want him to shoot out the pupils...vok man. Needs a full explanation.Yeeb wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 3:34 pm Every ‘marines rate Call of Duty for realism ‘ or police training video thing in the news, shows you target the body as having a greater chance of a hit. All this shoot for the head / shoot gun out of the hand is a bit of artistic licence and best left to bond films.
They also shoot more than once to be sure of the kill. Aiming for the head and getting a zing noise and ‘headshot !’ Comment is best left for the games.
Let’s hope his aim & hand eye coordination , are better than your tattooistSards wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 4:01 pmActually I wasn't very specific. I don't just want a head shot. Ja I got bored.Yeeb wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 5:03 pm Terrible comeback there, Sards of old would have done better (like you did against Musefreak when he made those comments about your kid )
Seems like attention has turned to the clean-up operation.
Yep. Still some looting going on but it's lost it's steam.
They interviewed a guy who manages a few shopping centers. He says that after their centers were burnt down the direct loss is 13000 job losses
I filled up yesterday and still have food & water left over from 1995 and the Y2K.
Most of them probably live in the same community that did the looting at the local mall.Chilli wrote: Thu Jul 15, 2021 7:54 am They interviewed a guy who manages a few shopping centers. He says that after their centers were burnt down the direct loss is 13000 job losses
Always shoot for the biggest mass. Chest and stomach. Aim for the head and you'll miss.average joe wrote: Thu Jul 15, 2021 7:58 am There's a reason why standard targets at the range look like this.
Even an experienced PH would advise to rather go for the lung shot. The only hunters that go for head shots every time are cullers. But those guys as can be expected, get a lot of practice and they don't need to pay for a miss. Ego trips are also huge in the culling fraternity. Guys putting down bets for the biggest bag for the day, amount of clean kills with headshots and furthest shot are common amongst cullers.
Fok Sards I thought yous was in the army. Your shooting instructor never tell you that the only time you go for the head is when you have the barrel firmly pressed against the guys temple. But then again, you were probably a tiffie because they couldn't trust you with a gun. That's were you got your boilermakers degree, right?

Still drinking your excellent wine. Taste buds gone a bit. Stellenbosch was wonderful.
I also have several bottles of wine named after me!
We also had a lion park himself in the Range Rover boot. These are just one offs.
Take care. Difficult times.

Good luck to them, the Indians seem to have plenty of guns and willingness to use them. Doing a video surely needs police to nick them for incitement ?
