Looking forward to todays match. Sharks have everything to play for.
It's a meaningless game, that's why we put our a B-Team. Especially as it's the last time we'll see our Boks in a while.
Why meaningless? You can still win the South competition

Missed the game, do you guys think the standard of play and fitness is enough for the upcoming Lions series? Are the Boks almost ready?
If nothing else, this tournament has allowed some key players to get some much-needed gametime under their belt. But like-for-like, the Premiership and Top14 is being played a higher pace and standard than what we've seen in the RC.
But are they fit enough for international rugby? Not sure. Especially considering the Lions players are coming off the back of a very good 6N tournament.
I've watched a lot if Pro14 and Prem and that game last night was up to standard. A lot harder in the tackle too.
Stomps making over 150 tackles in the first half at altitude is ridiculous.

Not for me boet, but good luck to anyone who find fulfilment in winning the comp.

I'll give you that much, it was a better game than I've seen in a while. But generally our rugby this side of the year has been poor.

It's been an extraordinary year; & with all the disruptions, & re-scheduling, I'll cut the players a lot of slack, on the lack of quality.
I'm just happy to be back seeing games again
Hopefully after the Lions tour, there'll be a regular pre-season, & with the vaccine rollout; we'll be back starting a regular season, with crowds of some description in the Autumn

Took UK 5 months of intense jabs to get the numbers down to a level that allowed small crowds back into stadiums. SA are going to take longer than that to catch up unfortunately.

Anyone else find Simelane's little bounce when he receives the ball incredibly annoying? He's fast becoming like Kirchner getting tackled after the first stride. I don't really think he's best utilized at 13. For such an athletic guy he runs very average lines and isn't really kicking on. I see him as a wing or fullback.

The difference is that Duane, Morne and Van Staden are the Bulls. They are Talisman players. Sharks beat the Lions comfortably with a B team. Fills me with confidence. We could still take it. Thats the SHARKS for you. Always getting into finals

That 9 means nothing.
Although great to see the Du Preez boys back. Outstanding players. Also fantastic to see the Weekend Special in the team. He deserves it.

Boeta is the real deal...just injury prone.
Since Curwin started kicking everything I kinda started losing interest. When he first started he ran a lot more.
But Curwin is an advantage yes.
I missed his long kicks to touch and his accuracy

Cardiff Blues v Zebre - kicked off 19:35, final whistle 21:40. No serious injuries or anything, just dragged on with constant captain’s challenges and TMO calls. Dire. The ref must have done his daily 10,000 steps just walking to the pitch-side screen.

It's rubbish. Last night Peyper reffing and Coetzee challenged after a Stormers try except there was confusion as to which action was being challenged. Peyper told him to 'choose his weapon'
