No reason to be. It was an England kick that we then juggled backwards.
But it was an actual pass back that went into a Frenchman who was beyond the kick … one for the rule book ref. It wasn’t a chased kick that was knocked back , but and actual pass (so possession had moved up the pitch)

This is his weakness. 1 game in a dozen or so, he goes all Poitrenaud. He did it against SA. When he does, you may as well pull him for the next game.

Properly incompetent half of rugby from both sides, but France can at least just stop dropping easy passes and they'll win this at a canter.
Awful directionless shite from England, who made about 6 bad errors in the first 15 and barely improved after that. No idea what this godawful kicking game is.

He's hardly been error free but until Freeman stepped up in the final few minutes of the half, he was the only one looking competent in attack. Fin seems to have been told by Borthwick to think about how he plays for Saints and then do the opposite, badly.
