...and Reform, whose leader openly courts Trump, currently have a 6 point lead in the polling for the next GE in the UK.
But of course they are not racists and it will be those opposing racism in all forms who are at fault when and if Reform, who are not racist, get in and start enacting not racist exclusion and not racist repatriation programs (sic)
Yup. There's two types of political approaches when you get into power: your either invest and grow the economy or you target immigrants & blame them for everything that's wrong. Guess which one is easier and cheaper?
A reasonably well-known actress in Japan is openly calling for restrictions on foreigners and the government has announced some new regulations governing visa restrictions, this in a country known for not being immigrant-friendly in the first case.
Megumi Hayashibara or someone else?

We are probably in the key stages of the war now - the big and possibly final big battle is now President v States. The Senate and House of Representatives have been completely castrated and the courts/judiciary are struggling to keep up and are well behind the curve in trying to rule what is legal or not. Trump is successfully tying the courts up in knots with shed loads of appeals and pushing his lack of compliance close to the wire. Meanwhile Trump is trying hard, and probably successfully, to ensure the Military is on his side and will do his dirty work for him, it's why he is in Fort Bragg. He is using ICE to stoke up local communities and in particular the Mexicans/latinos communities in order to justify sending in the National Guard and the Army. He will then justify his military actions to his racist KKK followers as a battle against the 'foreign' invaders of their country (no irony there then!). His North Korean style parade on Saturday is essentially a clarion call to his MAGA nutters and a challenge to his opponents. He will use any demonstrations on the day as an excuse to go in hard and heavy with the army and tanks on the street. He sees Saturday as his day to take complete control and proclaim he is now Emperor of the US. Trump needs to have this all done and dusted before any mid term elections in 2026 so I expect him to be successful and things will move quickly from then on. He will then start finalizing the serious discussions to divi up the world with his fellow dictators Putin, China, etc and the likes of Ukraine will quickly become collateral damage in all of this. The future of Europe as we know it is in serious danger.
The US is lost and we will all need more than Tin Foil Hats with what's to come in the future! Welcome President Krasnov!

Saw this guy's account on instagram and can't believe I've not heard this idea before that Trump has become an old school Queen.
... while looking for a YT clip, found this (and LOL'd at the comment that Trump made a catty tweet about Rihanna being nothing without her stylist. )

‘No food, job or phones’: Afrikaner ‘refugee’ family ‘stranded’ in US American Dream? An Afrikaner ‘refugee’ family has been left without assistance, including food, after arriving in the US…
An Afrikaner “refugee” family has reportedly been left stranded in the US, and is appealing for help on Facebook.
The startling revelation was made by a South African expat on TikTok.
Two groups of white South Africans have taken up “refugee status” in the US in recent weeks, as part of a programme open to “persecuted” people.
AFRIKANER ‘REFUGEES’ LEFT STRANDED?
On her TikTok account, South African expat @catmpt revealed that she had come across an Afrikaner “refugee” family in dire need of help.
The family of four was reportedly stranded at a hotel in Montana without food, money, or a cellphone. Instead, they had reached out to a Facebook group for help.
The woman said of the “refugees”: “They were understanding that they would be arriving here for complete assistance. People thought they would be arriving at a house, a job, medical insurance, and other things. It isn’t that way at all.
She added: “Because of the political situation, they are really struggling to get jobs”.
The woman revealed that she had left South Africa more than a decade ago, but had gone through a lengthy process. She also criticised Afrikaner “refugees” for having unrealistic expectations.
She continued, “One side of me is like, ‘F**k that. ‘My husband and I went through all of the red tape, and we got our visas…we’ve got our green card. We’ve been here ten years. We did everything the right way.
“Here, these people, regardless of what they were promised, just came here expecting everything”.
Under the post, the woman added that she was assisting the family with a car as she was a “humanitarian”.

And Ice Barbie's response was to claim that he had not identified himself, despite his clearly stating his name and his job.
Utterly disgusting behaviour
SO, if you go into a press conference and behave like a crazy person claiming, without proof, Im a senator, security should just stand back and watch?
Democrat leaders need to understand now that if they behave like clowns they will be dealt to. Start behaving like an adult not a spoilt child who think the rules and laws don't apply to them.

When they are shooting at the press they are acting in direct contravention of the 1st amendment. When they are overreaching in central government they are acting in a manner often cited as the reason for the right to bear arms in the 2nd amendment.

This!
However what we are seeing is an attempt to install a right wing, racist Dictatorship in the US funded by Big Tech so violation of the Constitution is irrelevant to those in power and indeed is seen as a barrier to them achieving their aims They have already said as much! They already have control of all three arms of the US Government - they have tied up the Executive arm ie Presidency with the senile Tango Twat, the Judiciary by installing their right wing MAGA mates in the Supreme Court, and the Legislative Arm with complaint or fearful majorities in both the House and the Senate. The Federal Courts are trying hard to instill and enforce some legal control but are being out manoeuvred by Trump or more accurately the Project 2025 mob, through delays, appeals and downright refusal to adhere to decisions and orders. They now need to gain control/power over the States and the military and then their work is complete, 'resistance is futile' to quote a phrase! They also need to do this before the mid terms in 2026 when they might lose control of the House and/or Senate.
Trump has already sacked a large number of existing military leaders and replaced them with MAGA stooges, led by the biggest stooge of all - Hegseth! His 'parade' on Saturday is in effect a demonstration that the military is now under his control and how far up the lamppost he can pee. We have to assume the military, with perhaps some resistance, will do his beck and call and will go on to the streets in the US against US citizens in order to do what they are told.
That just leaves the State Governors. The ICE raids etc are the equivalent of the Nazis response to claims of an imminent Communist attacks following the Reichstag fire and the implementation of the Enabling Act of 1933. Trumps equivalent are the violent, gang member, tattooed, criminal immigrants from Mexico and Latin America or basically anyone just a little 'off white' of which California has many. Trump has tried and is still determined to implement National Emergencies in order to boost Presidential powers and subjugate those of the States, courts, etc. Sending in the troops into California without Newsom agreement is a test of these powers. Should Newsom and the courts fail to get Trump to pull the troops out of the state or place them under the control of the Governor then he has won.
Anyone expecting fair and honest mid terms in 2026, if they take place, is just kidding themselves!

Only just saw this news which happened in the early hours, our time. Guessing that even a failed appeal won't stop him trying something on though. Would be kind of funny if the appeal was allowed but the troops placed only under strict Gubernatorial control
Trump administration blocked from deploying National Guard to LA
A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration's deployment of California's National Guard to Los Angeles and called the move illegal.
The judge's order to return control of the troops to California Governor Gavin Newsom will not go into effect immediately and the administration has filed an appeal.
The state sued President Donald Trump on Monday over his order to deploy the troops without Newsom's consent.
Trump said he was sending the troops - who are typically under the governor's authority - to stop LA from "burning down" in protests against his immigration crackdown. Local authorities have argued they have the situation in hand and do not need troops.
US District Judge Charles Breyer said the question presented by California's request was whether Trump followed the law set by Congress on the deployment of a state's National Guard.
"He did not," the judge wrote in his decision. "His actions were illegal... He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith."
But the judge stayed the order until Friday afternoon to give the Trump administration time to appeal against it. The administration did so almost immediately after the order was issued.
Newsom posted on social media on Thursday afternoon that "the court just confirmed what we all know — the military belongs on the battlefield, not on our city streets".

Official congratulations to Russia on Russia Day. Which has not gone down well with the slice of GOP that genuinely supports Ukraine.

Any protests going on in DC on Saturday?
It might be a ballsy move given the fragile ego of Trump and his willingness to beat and even shoot US citizens, but it's right there as a flashing neon sign attracting those not entirely happy with policy on Ukraine, tariffs, deportations, Gaza, oligarchy, homophobia, excusing crime, corruption, misogyny, hugely expanding public debt, trying to rename the Gulf of Mexico, treason...
Also how much is the parade to celebrate the Dear Leader figured to cost, and where's DOGE when there's an actual chance for them to prevent utterly frivolous spending?

I suppose even if it was successfully objected as being wasteful spending and then some he'd just get a despot or drug lord to fund it

If you believe that figure you'll believe anything !
Presidential inaugurations cost between $100 & 200 million, & that doesn't involve the military, & is a comparatively small area that actually has to be secured.
Can you imagine the fits the Secret Service are going to have trying to clear thousands of military personnel ?, will they have live rounds in their weapons ?, whose going to stop a driver deciding to roll their Abrams right over the viewing stand ?
