In the end it's a strike to the face. If the ref was in a really pissy mood it could have been a red (as ridiculous as that would have been).

Would have insisted on a HIA if I was the ref though. Player completely stopped playing, not unreasonable to have concerns... and teach the fecker for the theatrics.

Ya let's play the letter of the law game and see if Mapimpi landing on his head after being lifted by a no arms shoulder charge should be a....

It was marginal i agree, but landing on his head does not come into play as he was not lifted in any way

A agree with the landing on his head bit. Mapimpi dove and wasn't lifted BUT I did not see Koroibete did not wrap an arm in that tackle.
I need to see a couple more replays, but for me that should've been a try an another card.

Faf was stupid to swing in the first place. The tackle on Mapimpi was brilliant.
Springboks just have to up the tempo and take our points available. No way our drive will give us anything.

And who pray tell will replace him? We're down 4 wingers already (Kolbe, Nkosi, Arendse, Kriel) and starting with Galant at 14 FFS.

Looking at the replays you could argue there was an attempted wrap which is all the ref needs to see.

Agree on everything except that last statement.
Aussies are defending very well on their line, illegal or not. But eventually they are going to break and concede more cards.
We just need to keep squeezing. Once they are down to 14 or 13 some space will open up out wide if we want to speed it up.

Yeah, like I said, I'd really like to see some replays again.
It's difficult to "attempt to wrap" if you tackle with your head on the wrong side of the tackle like Koroibete did.

I mean medium term. He hasn't been brilliant for a while. Maybe give Canan Moodie a shot?

Dumb play by the Boks.
We are reverting to the high kick game...which would be fine if we had a 9 on the park, but with Faf in the bin, even if we win the aerial contest, we don't have a quick recycle and strike without a 9 upping the tempo.

Kick after tedious kick after tedious kick by both sides.
You have players busting themselves and risking harm to get possession, only for a teammate to do a Kick and Hope with it.

He scored 2 tries last match against NZ...one was just disallowed.
You want to bench our only experienced wing and start with a back 3 of Moodie, Galant and Willemse?
Are you serious?
