Wood is bowling very quickly. Windies playing it well though
Very rapid - but not bowling good areas yet. None of the bowlers have really found the best line and length yet. They'll have to sort it quickly tomorrow. And 1 guest wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:51 pm Wood is bowling very quickly. Windies playing it well though
The Holding speech where he had a little intake of breath at the end was really powerful, made even more so by going out of his cricket comfort zone and his normally calm delivery.ll get yelled at for this but Sky's half hour of giving Michael Holding and Ebony Rainford-Brent space yesterday to talk about racial issues in cricket and elsewhere is well worth watching.

Absolutely nothing happening with the ball so far. Looking like a long day in the field for England

Archer at times just appears to be going through the motions. New ball due in 10 overs timeWoddy wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 2:02 pm Not v impressed by England's bowling. Anderson was ok at the start of the day and Wood got a little unlucky with edges not flying to hand, but the Windies have given the lesson in how to bowl in English conditions, and we're not following it.
I can understand that people might think that but I don't think he ever is. It's mainly because his run up and action look pretty innocuous even when he's bowling well - when it's not working for him it looks like he's not putting the effort in even though he looks identical to when he is taking wickets. And 1 guest wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 2:14 pmArcher at times just appears to be going through the motions. And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
He's been hitting batsmen and was all over Shai Hope, he just messed up with the no-ball. There's been mis-hit shots landing safe, etc.
That's just the way it's going to be for Jofra. Wood's not taken any wickets either and has been a lot leakier.

Umpire gets it wrong again. Can't be easy for them after so long without any cricket

That wasn’t a great decision. Break from recent cricket or otherwise. And 1 guest wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 4:00 pm Umpire gets it wrong again. Can't be easy for them after so long without any cricket

And Wood gets one at last. 114 run lead so the top 4 really have a job to do

Borad has every right to be angry about being left out
Borad sounds like he’s closely related to Conan The Librarian

Weather forecast is good for the next couple of days, so I'm hoping to see Englands batsmen dig in and fight. I reckon they need to bat until lunchtime tomorrow.

Yep. Denly has so often got himself in without going on to get the kind of score you want from a number 3.Un Pilier wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2020 3:28 pm Denley did the hard graft then threw it away. Again. At least we know now who will make way for Joe Root.
I think Crawley playing well has really sealed his fate. As an opener he’s used to the new ball and he has shown he can score quite freely. And 1 guest wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2020 4:14 pmYep. This is tight Test cricket. 35 minutes left tonight - 1 more wicket and Windies will feel a chase of less than 200 is on
With the inevitable batting collapse. If we get a lead of 200 then any result is onsturginho wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2020 5:18 pm Good stuff from the Windies, they weren't threatening, but they kept it tight and waited for England to make mistakes
Here we go then - game on. A quick 40 from Broad will stop this Windies domination tho.... oh shit. And 1 guest wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2020 5:27 pm This is tight Test cricket. 35 minutes left tonight - 1 more wicket and Windies will feel a chase of less than 200 is on

Top stuff from the Windies. Never let things get away from them when noyhing much was happening all day, and have turned the game around in the last hour
