Good luck there.

Just beating them up in the pack.
Yup. Monstering them. And Italy simply don't have the halves to dig them out of it.

Which is nice, because our pack has been bang average of late.

Struggling to recall even one collision won by an Italian. They're playing like last week emptied them.

Doubt it. I'm sure that's why Owen spilt it, to save the ref having to make a decision.

Did the laws change in the last 24hrs that the team with the put in is allowed a full 8 man shove before the ball is in?
Apart from the scrums and that one Willis turnover, the Ref has been right. Italy playing some stupid rugby and not able to live with the intensity of England's rush defence, and strength in the maul.
It is funny seeing Farrell consistently killing England attacks mind.

Imagine the unzipping from the commentary team if it was Billy carrying like dombrandt is. Listening to them you wouldn't know who was playing no 8.

Well, our pack looks better. The backs have largely been clueless or addicted to kicking the ball no matter what.
Lawrence is making ground but there's much more to his game than that. Would be nice to see it.
This feels like so many of those post 2003 matches where a limited England team would roll over a smaller team with a big pack display and paper over all the cracks. All credit to the forwards though.

Will smith get a run with Lawrence or will Faz move to 12?

Desperate to talk up Farrell. 'he hasn't overplayed his hand, he's gone to the corner rather than kicking for goal and that's where the tries have come from'

Probably the latter, but christ I hope for the former. Or chuck Mitchell on at 10, just someone whose first instinct isn't to kick the ball.

A try would have been disallowed but fairly immaterial whether Italy got a penalty there as I'd say they'd have tapped and kicked out.

What is it with the kicking. We are murdering them up front, dont kick the ball away! Keep it tight and roll over them.

Which is fine against Italy, but we won't get away with it against better teams, so I'd like to see a bit more about our attack.
