For Valentini under the posts? He clearly said to the TMO 'on field decision is no try as I haven't got a grounding'.Ymx wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:19 amOn field decision was trysockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:16 amYes, so hell bent that he gave the TMO an on field decision of no try and waited to see what the footage showed
Touchy called it, Barnes took his advice.Ymx wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:19 amOn field decision was trysockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:16 amYes, so hell bent that he gave the TMO an on field decision of no try and waited to see what the footage showed

Early signs are that Beauden Barrett could cost us a Bledisloe tonight.

ABs aren't helping themselves by not effectively clearing and securing their ruck ball. Some really sloppy presentation. Barnes is being more liberal when interpreting 'first man in' than I'm used to seeing from him, but that needs to be adjusted for on the field by the players.

Is there any chance that Beauden Barrett could fuck off back to fullback where he was selected to play.
Are you not a fan of the “shovel to a marked player”?ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:26 am Is there any chance that Beauden Barrett could fuck off back to fullback where he was selected to play.

Once he starts coming in like this he takes ages to have it beaten out of him.ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:26 am Is there any chance that Beauden Barrett could fuck off back to fullback where he was selected to play.

I’m almost yearning for an aimless cross field kick.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:28 amAre you not a fan of the “shovel to a marked player”?ScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:26 am Is there any chance that Beauden Barrett could fuck off back to fullback where he was selected to play.

First time I've ever heard the noticeable distance thing in relation to a quick tap. Swear I've seen plenty of occasions where it's literally just contact between boot and ball with basically no distance travelled.

Mo’unga is playing in the line now and the attack looks better straight away.
Sounded as if the TMO made that rule up on the spur.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:33 amAgree with that but the call is madesockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 10:33 am First time I've ever heard the noticeable distance thing in relation to a quick tap. From World Rugby
Taking a penalty or free-kick
A penalty or free-kick must be taken without delay.
Any player from the non-offending team may take it, other than for a free-kick awarded for a mark.
The kicker must use the ball that was in play unless the referee decides it is defective.
The kicker may punt, drop-kick or place-kick (other than for touch) the ball.
The kicker may kick the ball in any direction.
Other than the placer at a place-kick, the kicker’s team must remain behind the ball until it has been kicked.
The ball must be kicked a visible distance. If the kicker is holding it, it must clearly leave the hands. If it is on the ground, it must clearly leave the mark. Once the kick has been successfully taken the kicker may play the ball again.
Sanction: Scrum.
