What's his disciplinary record like?
That was utterly braindead and thuggish. If he has any skeletons in the closet he could be goosed for a decent ban.
He's had another red for the exact same thing in the 2021 6N.
Yep, we all thought it was a Welsh tactic to milk reds but turns out he’s just quite thick.

I honestly don't care, the fud is a liability.
Sadly, we have few other options
Aye, very frustrating. Probably even more so for his team mates who have to tolerate him undoing any good work time after time.
So I squares up, casual like.

That half back pairing is the stuff of nightmares. The 2 SHs selected here aren't even close to the top choices in Fra. Both have been repeated failures when given chances at intl level.

Serin the snail slows down every ruck ball as usual. When playing against 14 men we get the inevitable result.

We are always concerned plus in a group with South Africa and Ireland.

Plenty to work on to improve as one would expect from preseason but not one of us is expecting to get out the group.

Kudos to the Scots on the comeback, particularly while a man down for most of the half.

A lot of French players who won't have advanced their position in the squad pecking order given the manner of that second half performance. It took far too long to arrest the Scotish momentum and they did very little with their last several minutes camped on the Scots' 5m line.

We could say it was the first hit out for that team, but it was the same for France, we were poor in the first half, quite good in the second

I think Sco got more from the game than Fra: unless you count discounting players who should already have been discounted a positive.

I can't see any of today's selections starting next week unless Galthie is planning on throwing all these games to rest key players.

Yes but Scotland had Ferguson to even it up a bit.

Not the ending I was expecting given the first half, and then the red card. Good fightback from Scotland though, which is encouraging.

Who really weren't in it in the second half.

Lots of character in that fightback, fair play.

15 I'd say. 1st choice lineup is probably
Baille-Marchand-Lardarse
Flament- Willemse
Cros-Ollivon-Alldritt
Dupont-Ntamack
Danty-Fickou
Penaud-Villiere-Ramos

I read elsewhere that Galthié is selecting a shadow side for both Scotland games in order to have a look at the fringe players, the full side will feature against Fiji and Australia

Totally devoid of leadership in that 2nd half. Making Dulin captain was a retarded decision: FB as captain is dumb at the best of times and even more so when it's a guy thrown a token cap. Really, Jalibert should have taken on more responsibility but he was as bad tactically as I accuse Ntamack of being.

Well then he's going to have wasted the 2 games because nobody stood up today and so anyone doing so next week will simply look inconsistent and so not likely to be in the wider frame. I wonder if Woki will be thrown back onto the flank.

Gailleton and Bielle-biarrey showing had they played against Ire in the U20, Fra would have won by 100.
Missed it as at funeral. Looked like Scotland woke up after 40
Sorry to hear that.

The 2 U20 lads stood up well but only Bourgarit and maybe Tanga of the senior pros can claim to have provided them any adequate support.

Mystified how he keeps getting caps. Very often last 10mins, where speed of ball can be fairly important.

You'd swear there was incoming sniper fire the way he crouches behind each ruck for safety.

The "little general" philosophy runs deep in many quarters, including Toulon. Remember Galthie wasn't exactly keen on fast ball when he was a player either.

Too early for B-B. A bit weak in defence at the moment. And anyway, he's a FB.
I'm a huge Macalou fan and he had a stellar season but really was nowhere most of today.
Not convinced that Bourgarit is a better option than Chat.

What really surprises me is no sign of Jaminet. I really can't see Dulin being selected but Jaminet has hardly played this season and when he has, he hasn't convinced anyone in Toulouse.
