Ireland have been well worth their victory today.
Should be a 50 pointer but by feck both teams deserved better officiating. Some very strange calls indeed with neither team having an idea wtf some calls were given for.
The only thing worse than the insipid Welsh team and the ref is the Irish female commentator. Really appalling with a poor knowledge of the game and not a jot of objectivity.
Absolutely a clueless token

Poor game from England. Got by on a decent set piece and some heavy carries, but their ball retention was pretty shocking even allowing for the poor weather.
Scotland looked more threatening with ball in hand and over the ball. Their seven should really have got MOM.

No, their captain spoke well after the game, but lads like Pollock and the big black prop have real attitude problems.

French props have been poor at the scrum with a strong italian front row

Looks like the sort of kid who could make it. That's the thing with U20s, you don't need to be winning Championships at that level. You just need 2 or 3 players that have the tools to go all the way in each group.

The Scotland captain, the blindside who got injured, he is another one - he's apparently upset a few of the full time pros at Edinburgh by getting right in about them at training

They got away with couple of yellow cards as well and the lad Pollock got away with murder at the breakdown. Arrived late and often offside time and time again and went for the ball.

I'm delighted for them; it's honestly no surprise !
They drove Ireland to the 80th minute, & they've been getting better & better year on year.
Considering you usually only have players for a couple of years, that they have been progressing speaks well of their systems, & it'll be interesting to see how the Pro teams feed these players through, & it'll put it up to Wales & Scotland to look at how they achieved this over a short time period.

There's a bit about the Young's in his passing to players faces, but he's young enough that he just needs a good coach to work with him

England really need to stop giving the Irish the ball, we're not defending them well at all.

I think I'd like to see Murphy, Father & Son up in Ulster.
Probably better than Ulster deserves, but will be good to have them producing Internationals
