Love him or loath him, Clarkson's Farm is doing an incredible job of highlighting the difficulties facing farmers these days. Encouraged to diversify but blocked by red tape and Nimbyism at every stop. The twat that stood up and said he would not be able to see the stars at night if Clarkson opened his restaurant was a joke. The other thing that is obvious, and confirmed by Charlie Ireland is that the council's constant decisions against Clarkson have got very personal and vindictive.
Having caught a few tweets that seem to be related, is it bringing up badger culling for TB?
Yeah, not the culling, but the connection between Badgers and Bovine TB.
Did they mention that badger to bovine TB is reckoned to be less than 10% of the cause of the spread? And even the results that show a greater drop in some culls (not all), is probably more down to the fact that the cows are being tested properly, and isolated properly, due to the experiment, rather than the actual dead badgers?
EDIT - Sorry, personal bugbear.

I would say they highlighted Badgers as a contributing factor, certainly didn't blame them entirely.

Were they actually that circumspect? Doesn't sound very Clarkson and frankly even bringing it up given how small a contribution badgers supposedly make is pretty irresponsible.

I thought he was surprisingly chilled about it (apart from making a few jokes early on about shooting a few or running them down in his Range Rover...)
The Environment Agency dropped off a dead badger collection kit, he found a dead badger on his land, bagged it up and sent it off. It came back positive for TB....

Exactly. But let's assume it was otherwise.

No one denies that badgers can contract TB, it's the extent to which they're a vector for transmission to cows that is called into question.

What are the other likely candidates?
I assume there’s a lot of correlation is why there is finger pointing.

Cows. Cows give it to cows, far more than badgers give it to cows. Individual cows/herds get bought and sold and pass the disease along.
There's a working vaccine now too, it requires an updated test (which has been invented), but seemingly it's easier to keep doing things that don't work properly.

I'm a bit late to it and only two episodes in, but Taboo is excellent thus far.
Tom Hardy really is a superlative actor when he puts his mind to it.

Watched it recently enough. Some bits a bit silly but the performances are excellent.
Enjoy.
I believe it was a Hardy family effort. His dad was involved too I think?

Loved it. I only recently realised that Tom Hardy was in Band of Brothers.. looking very youthful.

Supposedly there is going to be another series at some point, though recall Hardy saying he didn’t really know where they wanted to go with it, so guessing it won’t be imminent.
Jonathan Pryce probably doubled his lifetime count of using the F word in this series!

Meh, started well enough, built intrigue and then culminated in a very disappointing and flat and weak ending.

Whilst it is in the game, I wasn't expecting to see
Ellie going full postal on David, thought they'd tone it down a bit for the show
.
For those who don't know, Troy Baker who voiced Joel in the game has a supporting character role in this episode
who in a great ironic twist gets killed by Ellie

She's still annoying... I keep hoping she dies... "Hostel" style. And I am still underwhelmed by the whole series apart from episode 3... the rest have been ho hum... I'm still waiting for it to get going... the dialogue is basic and the plot almost non-existent... the production is decent which is about it's only saving grace. I found Station 11 had more going for it.

I bailed during episode 4. Figured if e3 was so lauded, but was almost a stand-alone episode, it could only be downhill from there. And not being a gamer I found the 'escapes' of the first two episodes a bit meh. Face a predicament, need a tool or awesome action to pass obstacle, find/execute same, rinse and repeat. And yeah, the dialogue's bog standard.
Just watched the first episode of Forgotten series 5, and just about to watch the second. No special effects so far, apart from a charred corpse stuck up a chimney, but top notch writing as expected.

Yeah I called it quits after episode 2 and hearing what episode 3 was about. The only reason I was watching was for fungal zombies, an hour plus episode that's basically a romantic drama? No thanks.

I think Pedro Pascal is excellent. I like the fact it is not just Zombie episode after Zombie episode (brains just being smashed up), and that it’s not quite predictable.

I'm continuing with Last of Us because I keep thinking... there must be a point when this transforms itself. I preferred Pascal in Narcos and GOT.
Do you mean Unforgotten? That is usually pretty good... I can't find a Forgotten TV series with 5 seasons?

And there's such a great premise to the series. It's so simple but so effective. Everyone else may have "forgotten" who the victim is, but our ordinary heroes keep plugging away for just that reason. It's an old school cop show in many ways, and all the better for it imho.

The only thing I dislike about it is the long prevalent intro credits sequence with all the "blink and you've missed it" clues and red herrings that come with this kind of show. Was it originally an American thing that's been adopted by UK police procedurals? The Wire > True Detective > Sharp Objects > Mare of Easttown... Whatever the case, it's becoming quite cliched imho.

I agree though I liked Unforgotten because it didn't seem to go overboard in this area. One show that annoys me to the point I can't watch it is Line of Duty!
